Jack, where is the defect on this disc? You might want to put all the details in the Honey West thread so everyone can check their sets.

162. Doctor Who: "Doctor Who and the Silurians, Episode 4" (21 Feb 1970)

163. Dark Shadows: Episode 230 (12 May 1967)

A tension-filled episode as everyone searches for the missing Maggie before Barnabas can put the bite on her again. Plus Barnabas beats the crap out of Willie for betraying him. And Jonathan Frid's makeup makes me think of Nosferatu, for some reason.
3 Mar 2009

Gene Rayburn moves Charles Nelson Reilly down to the bottom row to stop him annoying Brett.
178. The Tomorrow People: "The Rameses Connection, Part One" (4 Jan 1995)

Special Guest Villain: Christopher Lee as Sam Rees. Sam Rees… That’s an anagram of… oh, how very interesting! Also starring Adjoa Andoh (Francine Jones, Martha’s mother from Doctor Who) and Elizabeth Spriggs (Tabby from the Sylvester McCoy serial “Paradise Towers”.)
179. The Omega Factor: "Visitations" (20 Jun 1979)

Guest starring Kukla and Ollie, of all people.
183. The Beverly Hillbillies: "Duke Steals a Wife" (20 Feb 1963)

9 Mar 2009
184. Doctor Who: "The Mind of Evil, Episode Four" (20 Feb 1971)

Mostly for the gas missile hijacking set piece.
185. Dark Shadows: Episode 235 (19 May 1967)

186. Match Game: Episode 04-1 (21 Jul 1979)

187. The Omega Factor: "Night Games" (27 Jun 1979)

Tom's brother Mike is put in a hysterical fugue state due to exposure to a military crowd control experiment using ultrasonics -- a project that has been infiltrated by a sleeper agent programmed by Drexel. The most X-Files-like episode so far.
10 Mar 2009

196. Dark Shadows: Episode 238 (24 May 1967)

197. Match Game: Episode 04-4 (21 Jul 1979)

Kirstie Alley's final day as a contestant. After six years, the show is starting to feel tired.
198. Adventures of Superman: "The Brainy Burro" (14 Apr 1958)
Superman meets... a mind-reading donkey. Ugh!
199. The Beverly Hillbillies: "Jed Buys the Freeway" (27 Feb 1963)

Nothing particularly special about this episode, but it's stuck in my mind all these years due to the extensive location shooting at the Hollywood Bowl and Griffith Park.
I also watched a half hour of Winston cigarette and Kellogg's commercials included on the MPI Beverly Hillbillies set. It was bizarre seeing the cast in character doing these bits, especially singing the Winston jingle.
13 Mar 2009

201. Dark Shadows: Episode 239 (25 May 1967)

David sees Maggie at the old house, but thinks she's Josette.
210. Match Game: Episode 16-4 (24 Aug 1980)

211. The Omega Factor: "After-Image" (4 Jul 1979)

Anne is captured by an American paranormal organization, who hire Drexel to program her into becoming a sleeper agent for the U.S. The head American agent is played by Bruce Boa, who also played the obnoxious American guest in the "Waldorf Salad" episode of Fawlty Towers. I recognized him as soon as he opened his mouth.
17 Mar 2009
212. Doctor Who: "The Sea Devils, Episode Six" (1 Apr 1972)

213. Dark Shadows: Episode 241 (29 May 1967)

215. Up Pompeii!: "Britannicus" (20 Apr 1970)

217. Dark Shadows: Episode 242 (30 May 1967)

Dr. Woodard wants to bring in a specialist -- a Dr. Hoffman, who is the best "man" in "his" field.
218. Match Game: Episode 17-1 (5 Sep 1980)

Gene Rayburn tears down part of the set when the entrance doors refuse to open. This is more like the unhinged Match Game of old.
219. The Beverly Hillbillies: "Jed Becomes a Banker" (6 Mar 1963)

A classic episode where Mr. Drysdale makes Jed a vice president so that he can compete in a bankers' skeet shooting tournament. Lots of jokes about the hillbillies' unnatural proficiency with firearms. Don't think you could get away with that today.
19 Mar 2009
220. Doctor Who: "The Tomb of the Cybermen, Episode 2" (9 Sep 1967)

221. Dark Shadows: Episode 243 (31 May 1967)

222. Match Game PM: Episode 6-28 (2 Nov 1980)

223. Adventures of Superman: "The Perils of Superman (21 Apr 1958)

Actually a pretty decent episode from this late in the show's run, directed by George Reeves. A criminal wants to get revenge on the reporters who shut down his racket, and so puts Clark, Lois, Perry and Jimmy in serial-style death traps.
224. The Tomorrow People: "The Rameses Connection, Part Two" (11 Jan 1995)

20 Mar 2009

229. Match Game: Episode 35-5 (15 Jan 1982)

22 Mar 2009
230. Doctor Who: "The Time Warrior, Part One" (15 Dec 1973)

231. Honey West: "The Swingin’ Mrs. Jones" (17 Sep 1965)

Boy, this show wants to be The Avengers so bad.
232. The Beverly Hillbillies: "The Family Tree" (13 Mar 1963)

One of my all-time favorite episodes. Mrs. Priscilla Smith-Standish, president of the F.F.T. of A. (First Family Traditions of America) visits the Drysdales and becomes enamoured of the Clampetts' early American folkways, much to Mrs. Drysdale's chagrin. Mrs. Smith-Standish also determines that the Clampetts are descended from the first man to step ashore at Jamestown, which means that their family has been in America longer that Mrs. Drysdale's or Mrs. Smith-Standish's ancestors, who only arrived later on the Mayflower.

25 Mar 2009
240. Doctor Who: "The Time Warrior, Part Four" (5 Jan 1974)

241. Dark Shadows: Episode 247 (6 Jun 1967)

Maggie escapes from the old house and is seen by Sam Evans.
26 Mar 2009
242. Doctor Who: "Robot, Part One" (28 Dec 1974)

243. Dark Shadows: Episode 248 (7 Jun 1967)

Kathryn Leigh Scott acts up a storm as her conditioning breaks down and Barnabas imprisons her in a coffin.
244. Honey West: "A Matter of Wife and Death" (8 Oct 1965)

245. The Beverly Hillbillies: "Jed Cuts the Family Tree" (20 Mar 1963)

Not quite as good as the previous episode, but it has a poignant moment where Jed lies about his ancestry to prevent the Clampetts from becoming a nationwide spectacle, complete with parades and Washington D.C. fêtes. Shows a lot about Jed's character and common sense.
I also watched the Paul Henning documentary on the first MPI set and it's

The earliest MST3K episode I've yet seen, and an oddly lackadaisical one. Thankfully, the Brains would be rapidly improving.
