148. Match Game 74: Episode 0158 (15 Feb 1974) An episode precariously balanced between tipsiness and cocktail-fueled anarchy. Delirious!

150. Dark Shadows: Episode 229 (11 May 1967)

Jack, where is the defect on this disc? You might want to put all the details in the Honey West thread so everyone can check their sets.

161. Match Game 76: Episode 0827 (2 Oct 1976)
162. Doctor Who: "Doctor Who and the Silurians, Episode 4" (21 Feb 1970)
163. Dark Shadows: Episode 230 (12 May 1967)
A tension-filled episode as everyone searches for the missing Maggie before Barnabas can put the bite on her again. Plus Barnabas beats the crap out of Willie for betraying him. And Jonathan Frid's makeup makes me think of Nosferatu, for some reason.

3 Mar 2009
164. Doctor Who: "Doctor Who and the Silurians, Episode 5" (28 Feb 1970)

4 Mar 2009
165. Doctor Who: "Doctor Who and the Silurians, Episode 6" (7 Mar 1970)

5 Mar 2009
166. Dark Shadows: Episode 231 (15 May 1967) Kathryn Leigh Scott gets to chew the scenery as Maggie. We’re a long way from that hardboiled waitress in Episode 1.
167. Match Game 76: Episode 0870 (11 Dec 1976) Gene Rayburn sucks on a lemon, and attacks a cameraman when he screws up a commercial cue.
168. Doctor Who: "Doctor Who and the Silurians, Episode 7" (14 Mar 1970)

6 Mar 2009
169. Doctor Who: "The Mind of Evil, Episode One" (30 Jan 1971)
170. Dark Shadows: Episode 232 (16 May 1967) With a shocking climax of a shadowy figure outside Maggie’s French windows during an electrical storm.
171. Match Game 77: Episode 914 (5 Feb 1977) Gene Rayburn attacks a cameraman again, and Charles Nelson Reilly dresses up like an Indian.
172. Match Game 77: Episode 915 (5 Feb 1977) Jo Ann Pflug, Richard Dawson and Fannie Flagg imitate Dick Gautier, Brett Somers and Charles Nelson Reilly.
173. Up Pompeii!: "The Ides of March" (6 Apr 1970) Frankie Howerd plays dual roles as the slave Lurcio and Julius Caesar. From the title, you can guess what the plot’s about…

7 Mar 2009
174. Doctor Who: "The Mind of Evil, Episode Two" (6 Feb 1971)
175. Dark Shadows: Episode 233 (17 May 1967) Barnabas tells a vivid story of the death of Josette.
176. Match Game 77: Episode 1005 (26 Feb 1977) Richard Dawson and Debralee Scott nearly start a riot due to a judge’s call.
177. Match Game 78: Episode 1228 (29 Apr 1978) Gene Rayburn moves Charles Nelson Reilly down to the bottom row to stop him annoying Brett.
178. The Tomorrow People: "The Rameses Connection, Part One" (4 Jan 1995)
Special Guest Villain: Christopher Lee as Sam Rees. Sam Rees… That’s an anagram of… oh, how very interesting! Also starring Adjoa Andoh (Francine Jones, Martha’s mother from Doctor Who) and Elizabeth Spriggs (Tabby from the Sylvester McCoy serial “Paradise Towers”.)
179. The Omega Factor: "Visitations" (20 Jun 1979) Department 7 investigates a haunted house and a case of possession with ties back to Drexel. Reminiscent of Nigel Kneale’s The Stone Tape.

8 Mar 2009
180. Doctor Who: "The Mind of Evil, Episode Three" (13 Feb 1971)
181. Dark Shadows: Episode 234 (18 May 1967) Ends with the unnerving sound of a pack of wild dogs surrounding the Evans cottage... and Maggie and Vicki.
182. Match Game PM: Episode 151 (17 Feb 1979) Guest starring Kukla and Ollie, of all people.
183. The Beverly Hillbillies: "Duke Steals a Wife" (20 Feb 1963)

9 Mar 2009
184. Doctor Who: "The Mind of Evil, Episode Four" (20 Feb 1971) Mostly for the gas missile hijacking set piece.
185. Dark Shadows: Episode 235 (19 May 1967)
186. Match Game: Episode 04-1 (21 Jul 1979)
187. The Omega Factor: "Night Games" (27 Jun 1979)
Tom's brother Mike is put in a hysterical fugue state due to exposure to a military crowd control experiment using ultrasonics -- a project that has been infiltrated by a sleeper agent programmed by Drexel. The most X-Files-like episode so far.

10 Mar 2009
188. Doctor Who: "The Mind of Evil, Episode Five" (27 Feb 1971)
189. Dark Shadows: Episode 236 (22 May 1967) Barnabas reveals his plan to transform Maggie into Josette. And Josette's music box is introduced.
190. Match Game: Episode 04-2 (21 Jul 1979) With Kirstie Alley as a contestant!
191. Up Pompeii!: "The Senator and the Asp" (13 Apr 1970)

11 Mar 2009
192. Doctor Who: "The Mind of Evil, Episode Six" (6 Mar 1971)
193. Dark Shadows: Episode 237 (23 May 1967)
194. Match Game: Episode 04-3 (21 Jul 1979) With Kirstie Alley still as a contestant.

12 Mar 2009
195. Doctor Who: "The Sea Devils, Episode One" (26 Feb 1972)
196. Dark Shadows: Episode 238 (24 May 1967)
197. Match Game: Episode 04-4 (21 Jul 1979) Kirstie Alley's final day as a contestant. After six years, the show is starting to feel tired.
198. Adventures of Superman: "The Brainy Burro" (14 Apr 1958) Superman meets... a mind-reading donkey. Ugh!
199. The Beverly Hillbillies: "Jed Buys the Freeway" (27 Feb 1963)
Nothing particularly special about this episode, but it's stuck in my mind all these years due to the extensive location shooting at the Hollywood Bowl and Griffith Park.

I also watched a half hour of Winston cigarette and Kellogg's commercials included on the MPI Beverly Hillbillies set. It was bizarre seeing the cast in character doing these bits, especially singing the Winston jingle.

13 Mar 2009
200. Doctor Who: "The Sea Devils, Episode Two" (4 Mar 1972)
201. Dark Shadows: Episode 239 (25 May 1967) The unexpected arrival of Sam and Joe at the old house starts to break down Maggie's conditioning. Suspenseful!
202. Match Game: Episode 06-5 (4 Aug 1979)
203. The Wild Wild West: "The Night of the Falcon" (10 Nov 1967) Guest starring Robert Duvall as a mastermind who developed a new explosive and cannon capable of destroying a city with one shot.

15 Mar 2009
204. Doctor Who: "The Sea Devils, Episode Three" (11 Mar 1972)
205. Doctor Who: "The Sea Devils, Episode Four" (18 Mar 1972)
206. Match Game: Episode 11-5 (26 Aug 1979)
207. Match Game: Episode 12-1 (8 Sep 1979)

16 Mar 2009
208. Doctor Who: "The Sea Devils, Episode Five" (25 Mar 1972)
209. Dark Shadows: Episode 240 (26 May 1967) David sees Maggie at the old house, but thinks she's Josette.
210. Match Game: Episode 16-4 (24 Aug 1980)
211. The Omega Factor: "After-Image" (4 Jul 1979)
Anne is captured by an American paranormal organization, who hire Drexel to program her into becoming a sleeper agent for the U.S. The head American agent is played by Bruce Boa, who also played the obnoxious American guest in the "Waldorf Salad" episode of Fawlty Towers. I recognized him as soon as he opened his mouth.

17 Mar 2009
212. Doctor Who: "The Sea Devils, Episode Six" (1 Apr 1972)
213. Dark Shadows: Episode 241 (29 May 1967) David has a long conversation with Josette/Maggie.
214. Match Game: Episode 16-5 (24 Aug 1980)
215. Up Pompeii!: "Britannicus" (20 Apr 1970) Ludicrus Sextus and Lurcio join a military expedition to put down Queen Boadicea's rebellion in Britain. Gives an entirely new meaning to the term "camp follower"!

18 Mar 2009
216. Doctor Who: "The Tomb of the Cybermen, Episode 1" (2 Sep 1967)
217. Dark Shadows: Episode 242 (30 May 1967) Dr. Woodard wants to bring in a specialist -- a Dr. Hoffman, who is the best "man" in "his" field.
218. Match Game: Episode 17-1 (5 Sep 1980)
Gene Rayburn tears down part of the set when the entrance doors refuse to open. This is more like the unhinged Match Game of old.
219. The Beverly Hillbillies: "Jed Becomes a Banker" (6 Mar 1963)
A classic episode where Mr. Drysdale makes Jed a vice president so that he can compete in a bankers' skeet shooting tournament. Lots of jokes about the hillbillies' unnatural proficiency with firearms. Don't think you could get away with that today.

19 Mar 2009
220. Doctor Who: "The Tomb of the Cybermen, Episode 2" (9 Sep 1967)
221. Dark Shadows: Episode 243 (31 May 1967)
222. Match Game PM: Episode 6-28 (2 Nov 1980)
223. Adventures of Superman: "The Perils of Superman (21 Apr 1958) Actually a pretty decent episode from this late in the show's run, directed by George Reeves. A criminal wants to get revenge on the reporters who shut down his racket, and so puts Clark, Lois, Perry and Jimmy in serial-style death traps.
224. The Tomorrow People: "The Rameses Connection, Part Two" (11 Jan 1995)

20 Mar 2009
225. Doctor Who: "The Tomb of the Cybermen, Episode 3" (16 Sep 1967)
226. Dark Shadows: Episode 244 (1 Jun 1967)
227. Match Game PM: Episode 6-30 (16 Nov 1980)

21 Mar 2009
228. Doctor Who: "The Tomb of the Cybermen, Episode 4" (23 Sep 1967)
229. Match Game: Episode 35-5 (15 Jan 1982)

22 Mar 2009
230. Doctor Who: "The Time Warrior, Part One" (15 Dec 1973)
231. Honey West: "The Swingin’ Mrs. Jones" (17 Sep 1965) Boy, this show wants to be The Avengers so bad.
232. The Beverly Hillbillies: "The Family Tree" (13 Mar 1963)
One of my all-time favorite episodes. Mrs. Priscilla Smith-Standish, president of the F.F.T. of A. (First Family Traditions of America) visits the Drysdales and becomes enamoured of the Clampetts' early American folkways, much to Mrs. Drysdale's chagrin. Mrs. Smith-Standish also determines that the Clampetts are descended from the first man to step ashore at Jamestown, which means that their family has been in America longer that Mrs. Drysdale's or Mrs. Smith-Standish's ancestors, who only arrived later on the Mayflower.

23 Mar 2009
233. Doctor Who: "The Time Warrior, Part Two" (22 Dec 1973)

237. Dark Shadows: Episode 246 (5 Jun 1967)
238. Honey West: "The Abominable Snowman" (1 Oct 1965)
239. Up Pompeii!: "The Actors (27 Apr 1970)"

25 Mar 2009
240. Doctor Who: "The Time Warrior, Part Four" (5 Jan 1974)
241. Dark Shadows: Episode 247 (6 Jun 1967) Maggie escapes from the old house and is seen by Sam Evans.

26 Mar 2009
242. Doctor Who: "Robot, Part One" (28 Dec 1974)
243. Dark Shadows: Episode 248 (7 Jun 1967) Kathryn Leigh Scott acts up a storm as her conditioning breaks down and Barnabas imprisons her in a coffin.
244. Honey West: "A Matter of Wife and Death" (8 Oct 1965)
245. The Beverly Hillbillies: "Jed Cuts the Family Tree" (20 Mar 1963)
Not quite as good as the previous episode, but it has a poignant moment where Jed lies about his ancestry to prevent the Clampetts from becoming a nationwide spectacle, complete with parades and Washington D.C. fêtes. Shows a lot about Jed's character and common sense.

I also watched the Paul Henning documentary on the first MPI set and it's

28 Mar 2009
246. Mystery Science Theater 3000: Show #103 - The Mad Monster (12 Dec 1989) Movie: Show:
The earliest MST3K episode I've yet seen, and an oddly lackadaisical one. Thankfully, the Brains would be rapidly improving.

Man, that is a sorry circumstance. It's also a TV show buyers worst nightmare.
Fortunately I havn't had that problem yet. It's just a matter of time, I'm sure.
Updated list through March 1st.

Re: 2009 TRACK THE TV EPISODES YOU WATCH

My defect was on Disc 2, where there was some scratches or residue that caused freeze-ups in episode #13 "The Grey Lady" (which is probably one of the 2-3 best episodes of the entire series). Only on computers did it seem to work okay but on two regular players it was bad. On the second bad set I was spot-checking first "The Grey Lady" and there were freeze-ups in the opening seconds.

Third time was the charm and this one played normally but for one five second jump during the Four Star Production tag to the next episode on Disc 3 at the end of episode #20. I ended up blitizing my way through the rest of the run and thus watched the last 22 episodes of the series in one day yesterday! (though it was certainly fun seeing that much of Anne Francis ine one day).

Re: 2009 TRACK THE TV EPISODES YOU WATCH

I don't think this has happened before for me. But, while watching The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles here. I was finding it a struggle to get through. So i decided to stop watching and I am going to sell off the sets. Perhaps someone else has had a similar issue with a show. Where it just wasn't for you. I think with this particular show it was because it was not how it originally aired. I should have known better before picking it up in the first place.

I am going to start watching ER: Season 10 that i just got.
