Setting up whole house audio and hometheater

Hello all, this will be my first post here.
I have been building a house for the last 5 months. I have pre-wired it for whole house music and home theater.
This is the set up as of now. 2 speakers in the master bedroom, 2 on the deck and 5 in the hearth room plus a sub. The 5.1 speakers in the hearth room will be for the home theater, I would also like to use them for a music zone too.
All wires go to a central location in the basement. I also have a location for a volume control in each zone. The wires go from the speakers to the volume control box in the wall, and then down to the basement. The speakers are going to be Nuvo 6.5 in the ceiling and a Polk psw111 sub in the HT area, I have ran cat5 behind where all the TVs and computers are going to be as well a RG6 cable. I have a conduit behind the Main TV and in the pantry where I would like to have a blueray player. This is where I get lost; I know what I want it all to do, but don't know how to get it to do it. I would like to have everything such as cable boxes, receivers ect… in the basement where all the wires end, and run the who system on a RF remote.
I can use some advice on how to set this up and where to get the things I’ll need to complete this project.

You posted when most of us are taking time off to spend with family during the holidays. Have you searched for answers first? Most questions have been asked multiple times and you should find something that is at least close to what you are asking.

Cables are best from Monoprice.com. I'd use a Harmony 890 RF/IR remote to control everything.

Speakers - Are you putting in-ceiling speakers in the home theater? WHY??? You are severely compromising the sound quality. They aren't bad when using them for background music but for critical listening and home theater, real speakers work best.

I'd run the home theater separate from the zoned audio. Get a true multi-room system for that or you can use multiple stand alone amps to power the zones. You can share your source units between the two systems if you want. For example, using a satellite receiver for home theater as well as the music channels for the other zones. The drawback is that you can't use them at the same time for different functions. That's why I have 3 high def DVR's shared between two home theater systems.

Specific questions are helpful but give us time to answer. After Thanksgiving the forum will pick back up again.

Looks like a three-zone receiver would do the trick for you: home theater room for the main zone, bedroom and patio for the other two. Not sure how in-wall level controls are going to work for the HT room, though. Typically you want the receiver controlling that. Also, with the gear in the basement, you're going to need some way to remote-control everything remotely, which means an IR receiver in each room where you want to be able to control things. Or some kind of RF system.
