Nice to have stumbled across this forum. I enjoy my home surround sound system and all the peripherals that hang off of it. But essentially I've got a dated JVC system that I pieced together back in the mid-90s. Surround Sound is provided by the Bose Acustomax or whatever it is.

So this past week my JVC TV model 915 started to go...colors began to roll across the screen. I knew it was a matter of time...just hated to depart with it. I only wanted to move it once it was big, heavy and cumbersome. So I picked up a JVC 32" LCD panel.

The back of the 915 had a switch to turn on or off surround sound...it just routed audio from tv speakers to Bose system through the amp. But now there is no switch and when I set the buttons for surround...audio still comes out of the LCD...suggestions?
