I have a 14'X14' room where all my stuff is. The main couch is in front of the tv and everything is symmetrical and works great...however, there is a second couch perpedicular to the main couch. The rear surrounds are extremely biased (on stands) to the main viewing couch. Would if be horrible to raise and seperate the rear channels to the corners of the room on shelves? From left to right...the distance would only be a few more feet, and actually I think better, but due to a door opening, the height of the speakers would be 4-5' above head level, but they will also be more behind the sound stage then before, allowing me to angle them down. Aesthetically it would be the best solution, but I'm unsure.
