Atomix wall clock

Does anybody have any problem with this clock not updating the time on time.
Ever since they move daylight saving time an hour ahead one week. My clock hasn't been updating on time. It was supposed to turn back the time back an hour last week but it didn't do it. I had to manually adjusted it. When I woke up this morning, it turned the time back an hour.
Where do these clock get signal from? I live on the east coast.
It's been almost two years now right since they move the daylight savings time a week ahead. I thought they would have fixed that by now.

Re: Atomix wall clock

Some atomic clocks don't even pick up on the DST bit in the signal and have to be changed manually. Some of those have a DST switch, but others, regretably, force you to go through the entire setup procedure just to toggle the DST setting. One of my atomic clocks is like that, and it's really annoying. If it didn't show outside temperature, I wouldn't keep it around.

It could also be (and more likely is) the case that your clock simply went a week or more without being able to get a signal. Most clocks sync once a day, just after midnight (which makes NO sense, since the DST bit is toggled at 2:00AM, but I digress...). If your clock set the time back last night, then it probably was able to sync up with the signal last night for the first time in over a week.

There should be an indication on your clock that it was able to get a signal last time it tried. Was the indication on as of last night? If there was no indication until this morning, then you may just need to put it near a West-facing window during the DST change (and perhaps once a month, or so, to maintain accuracy) so it can get a better signal.

The WWV radio signal comes from Colorado.

Re: Atomix wall clock

Unfortuanately they're no indicator on the clock. It sync with no problem during spring but it's always the fall that it sync a week later. If my memory serve me well I believe this is the second time that it didnd't sync.
