Need a recommendation: drive ejection app in menu bar?

I keep my MBP tethered to my desk, with two USB drives connected. To disconnect, I need to bring up the Finder and click one disk, wait for it to eject, then click the other disk.

So, I'd like a little app that would eject all USB disks with a single click. Something in the menu bar would be nice.

Or a little app that makes it a bit simpler to eject disks.

Suggestions? Thanks.

For part 2 I use Ardiem. Works great, lets you choose the key combination or eject from the menu, and lets you operate multiple optical drives as well. Just search for Ardiem at versiontracker.com.

BTW, you don't have to eject multiple drives separately. Just select them both (or more) and click commend-e once.

They flutter behind you, your possible pasts.

The select and Cmd-E is a good tip I didn't know.

On the flip side, Ardiem doesn't work with USB2 drives so I had to uninstall it.

Well, this got me thinking...and I wrote an Automator Application to do it.

Automator is neat (if quirky with more complicated scripts). I wish I knew how to attach my Automator script / application to the menu bar. Currently, I'll use it via Spotlight.

Should be able to do it via the Applescript Utility - give it a shot.
