Will we ever see an anamorphic MOUNTAINS OF THE MOON ? I see that Lionsgate carries this title on their web site. They did just release a new Chaplin, so maybe there is hope.

I hope so. This is a quite beautiful movie that longs to be anamorphic (even Blu-ray), but eveidently it has not been a big seller, as no one ever re-issued it after its initial letterbox incantation.

As I recall...

the letterbox printing (from Pioneer?) is voluminously available. Or at least it was when I got it from Amazon new (from a seller, not Amazon.com) a few months back. For about $3.50 (plus shipping).

Still haven't watched it, but hopefully soon.
