Internet Explorer and my old Favorites

Hi, it's been awhile since I posted, but I still have a collection of threads that I saved as Favorites on my Internet Explorer browser. Many of them had great information in them.

But they don't seem to function as links to the threads anymore.

Should I just delete them and start using Search, or is there some route to restore direct access to those threads?

Thanks for any assistance!

Re: Internet Explorer and my old Favorites

Hi John, an easier way to ensure your favorites stick with you is to click on Thread Tools -> Add Thread to Favorites, in any thread. You can do this once logged in to HTF

Cheers,
Alon

Re: Internet Explorer and my old Favorites

Wow, looks like many (all?) the threads or posts I contributed to are added automatically to the Forum site by the software as favorites?

Not sure yet if if I should delete all Internet Explorer favorites from this Forum tho. They at least give me a clue as to if or when I may have posted on a subject of interest.

Thanks for the tip Alon!

Re: Internet Explorer and my old Favorites

John:

Depending on how old those threads are you saved in your favorites folder: the HTF underwent a huge software change awhile back and the physical addresses assigned to many of the older threads were changed.

You might need to search them out again and re-save them. Or, just use Alon's suggestion and once you have found them again, save them as favorites.

Good luck!

There's Jessie the yodeling cowgirl. Bullseye, he's Woody's horse. Pete the old prospector. And, Woody, the man himself. Of course, it's time for Woody's RoundUp. He's the very best! He's the rootinest, tootinest cowboy in the wild, wild west!

That must be what happened, thanks for the suggestions Mike!

John:

Mike is right. Sorry for the hassle but your best bet would be to remove the bookmarks and then just save new ones.

Number Two: “Where am I?” “In the Village.” “Who are you?” “The new Number Two.” “Who is Number One?” “You are.” “What do you want?” “Information.” “Well, you won’t get it!” “By hook or by crook, we will.” “I am not a number, I am a free man.”
