Upgrade to seperate amp for Arcam Avr300?

I am not at all dissatisfied with the power of my Arcam but I can't help but wonder what if. I have heard that simply bi amping speakers using the feature within the receiver makes ALL the difference. I do not have the speaker capabilities to do this though. I am running a 4 ohm load across the front with custom made "obelisk" towers and a Rocket RSC200 Bigfoot center. The power of the Arcam is 100 watts (high current) all channels driven and 120 X 2 for stereo. I know that the receiver actually puts out these numbers because:

1) I've seen tests in magazines that confirm it to be dead on if not a little conservative
2) I have a buddy at a local electronics shop who has measured one like mine.

My question lies here. If I get an Emotiva XPA3 rated at 300 per channel across all three channels and 400 X 2, will I see a huge difference in performance across the board? It makes sense to me due to the huge power difference but I wanted to get some advice from someone who had done so already.

Like I said, it is Arcam and sounds really good. If this were a yammy or denon etc... I'd jump with no questions asked. Arcam????? it is a step up IMO.

Anyway, any input would help

Thanks in advance
