Home Alone should look pretty good - I have the remastered DVD from a couple of years and I assume the BD will be from the same source. The DVD looks pretty good for a catalog title.

I haven't seen the film on DVD. I've only seen it either on VHS. I was 8 or so when it came out on video and that's how I remember it.Therefore to see it on DVD (in widescreen) or Blu-ray would be, well, odd!

Excellent.Glad to gave Home Alone in Blu-ray.
Along with Christmas Vacation and the new Ult. Ed of Christmas Story,
It should make a nice Blu Christmas.

These are some of my modern day holiday faves. IMO, Jingle All The Way is very underrated and a good comic performance from Ahnuld.The laserdisc sounded MUCH better than the dvd releases so I have high hopes the DTS-MA track will get us back to that deep, immersive sound the LD had!

Give "Jingle All The Way" the needed quality HD transfer and lossless sound and this movie will ROCK!
Loved it at the cinema!IMO, Both "Home Alone" & "Jingle All The Way" are cherished Holiday classics.

Paul, do you remember how deep & tight the bass was on the LD? The opening sequence on Jingle All The Way really sounded fantastic-and it 'only' had a 2 channel mix I think? The dvd was enemic and front heavy.I'm with you on the classic status!

It's not exactly "It's a Wonderful Life" but it's good fun.
I usually watch it, and the Tim Allen Santa Clause movies, early on during the Christmas season, saving the real classics for the last week or two before Christmas.

I'm pleasantly surprised to see so much love for Jingle All the Way, which is a holiday favorite of mine, as well. My mom and I watch it almost every year and get a real kick out of it. It's nice, harmless, goofy fun. Plus, it features the late, great, Phil Hartman.Carl Fink
