Re: The Amazing Race season 13

It would have been fun watching the divorcees try to tackle the flour bags. Would have taken them hours if they could even finish. Plus one of them would probably be whining because she broke a nail.

The pudgy frat boys are driving me crazy. How a team that pathetic can make it this far is amazing. I used to work with a guy who had no rhythm, that's what the marching fiasco reminded me of. Amazingly most people like that are like American Idol contestants, they honestly don't know how bad they really are. Dan at least admitted he had no rhythm.

Nice to see Toni/Dallas take a first place. Getting a little repetitive watching Nick/Starr win every week.

Next week looks good, but I've learned not to put much faith in CBS teasers.

Damm, missed this episode, are the frat boy's march on youtube or somewhere?

I got back around 8;45 and in between running around, unpacking from this weekend's trip and getting fed, I just about saw the end.

I'm glad to hear the colored stuff in India was herbs. I thought it was some sort of dye or dried paint- it looked very toxic and bad to get in your eyes, nose, or mouth. It was funny but hard to watch.

Who else wonders about the cabs when people get in them covered in stuff like that? (Or for that matter, the planes or helicopters in Survivor when smelly unwashed players ride in them.) Is there some special reality cleaning spray they use?

There's Jessie the yodeling cowgirl. Bullseye, he's Woody's horse. Pete the old prospector. And, Woody, the man himself. Of course, it's time for Woody's RoundUp. He's the very best! He's the rootinest, tootinest cowboy in the wild, wild west!

Heh, a public transportation task! It astonishes me how many people freak out about subways. Yeah, everything in Moscow is in Cyrillic, but bus systems are almost always a mess with long delays between trips.

I'm with you!
These two bumbling clods as winners would be hysterical.
Their marching attempts last week were hyperventilatingly funny!!

I hate Tina, Ken seems nice enough...but her nastiness outweighs anything he brings.
Love Star, yummy...but Nick is...well...a dick.

Re: The Amazing Race season 13

Now this was a great episode--sucked for Toni/Dallas, but even if they'd managed to end up in the top three somehow, without a passport I don't think they'd even be allowed to continue. I'm sure the producers were able to get them back somehow though.

The funniest part for me was seeing Dandrew get 2nd place--in other words, even if Dallas hadn't screwed up, Dandrew would still be in the top three.

I'm glad Dallas is gone, he was mackin' on Starr and I don't like it.

I can't believe that Team Apatow is still in this thing!

Re: The Amazing Race season 13

Tina's attitude sucks big time. She's just a bossy bitch, who will forever be bossy and bitchy, even if there is no reason.

Catch her in the cab when Ken points to something. He wasn't pointing in the cabbies face or bothering anybody. But she's got to smack him down and just bitch to hear herself.

To bad about Toni and Dallas. There have been mistakes made by all teams this season, but if it's the wrong one, game over.

Whew! That was one nail-biter of a finale with Ken and Tina constantly on Nick and Starr's ass!

I don't think I took a breath until I saw Nick and Starr cross that finish line first!

They dominated this game, if they do another All Stars they simply must be a part of it.

Too bad Dallas and mom were stuck in Russia without their passports to get back to the US for the final pitstop.

That was the thought that crossed our minds in our household when we saw that Toni & Dallas weren't at the finish line. Do you know that to be true for a fact, Patrick? I guess it just makes sense. It was only a day or two after they lost them.

Re: The Amazing Race season 13

How close were the top two finishers last night, does TAR post the times somewhere? I think we all know that there is some serious editing sometimes on the races to keep our attention spans...

Speaking of tina, she should of been disqualified on the Detour where they had to balance on a log up in the trees and jump and grab the marker. You could see her grabbing the safety line with her hands which should be illegal... Either that, the belayer should of just let the rope go slack!

The Amazing Race?s Toni & Dallas: Passport To Misadventure (Fancast: Inside TV)

How long did it take you to get new passports? Did you make the finish line?

Dallas: We weren’t able to make the finish line. We did get my passport back the next morning. Someone turned it into the embassy. We ended up meeting with the cast at a party they throw for everybody at the end.

Re: The Amazing Race season 13

Sounds like the Amazing Race staff is about 99% at fault for Dallas losing his passport. His pack was attached until they unhooked him to change batteries on his microphone.

Apparently whatever happens, happens. Deal with it. Looks like they may have been last that day anyhow, but it all seems to have gone downhill after the battery incident.

Re: The Amazing Race season 13

My friend and I were talking today about the whole Toni and Dallas being stuck in Russia situation and we think that even if the cameraman who was with them saw them leave their passport they weren't allowed to tell them because it falls within the domain of making the race more interesting and a valid handicap befalling a team to trip them up.

If that's the case than that's pretty messed up lol, the show needs to think ahead and say "hey, this could possibly become a really big problem for them after the race." which at that point was very soon.

It was hard to tell from the editing how soon it was that Dallas realized what had happened.

They made it seem instantaneous...but I keep thinking that if it was me I would have taken off running after that cab until I either caught it or it disappeared out of sight!

Re: The Amazing Race season 13

I was thinking about how hard that last challenge was where the teams had to re-live the ten legs of the race and match up the images on that big board. I think I would have dropped dead from exhaustion and nerves thinking about how close I was to a million dollars combined with the sheer craziness of running sprints from board to box to box to box to box to box to board to box to box to box......

The excitement on their faces in the cabs as the two front-running teams made their way to the final pit stop was cool to see, too.

Me too, and it was all summed up perfectly by Starr..."That was hard!" lol.

I had to take a couple of pulls on my asthma inhaler watching that challenge lol.

It's not the first time we've seen someone forget the bags, though - just the worst-timed incident. I think previous contestants that have been interviewed mentioned how much the need to keep that particular bag on hand is impressed upon them.

I think it's a function of the way that Roadblock was designed, though, and will probably be taken into consideration when designing future races. I can't recall another time when one player was been sent that far afield from another in a roadblock, to the point of taking taxis and doing navigation. Usually, it's hard to lose the bag because there's always a partner to double-check, which was not the case here.

This has sort of become a staple of the game in the past few years, I think corresponding to a Survivor producer joining the show to punch up the challenges a bit. Isn't that a regular part of that show, as well?

I enjoyed this season.

By the way, it's time for TAR and Survivor to increase the top prize. The producers have made tons of money on these shows and can afford to increase the prize.

Yup. Survivor has always had a "memory challenge" looking back on different parts of that particular season. Sometimes it has featured a quiz looking back on survivors past (name as many of the survivors voted off first as you can!).

I was specifically referring to the need to run straight out...with the pressure building of being so close to the finish line...and then running some more through the entire challenge. They must've been whupped. As a wise woman once gasped, "That was hard!" Good quote, John!

I didn't notice who was missing at the finish line- I was too excited to see the tie-dyed beekeepers again.

I wish they would have said how close the teams finished. The first 2 seemed to be within minutes, but who knows how long it took Dandrew to make it? It was still daylight, but could have been the next day.

Maybe next season they can have a roadblock where people have to throw their passports into a shredder, then see what happens.
