Re: The Amazing Race season 13
Damm, missed this episode, are the frat boy's march on youtube or somewhere?
I got back around 8;45 and in between running around, unpacking from this weekend's trip and getting fed, I just about saw the end.

Heh, a public transportation task! It astonishes me how many people freak out about subways. Yeah, everything in Moscow is in Cyrillic, but bus systems are almost always a mess with long delays between trips.

I'm glad Dallas is gone, he was mackin' on Starr and I don't like it.

I can't believe that Team Apatow is still in this thing!

Whew! That was one nail-biter of a finale with Ken and Tina constantly on Nick and Starr's ass!
I don't think I took a breath until I saw Nick and Starr cross that finish line first!

They dominated this game, if they do another All Stars they simply must be a part of it.

Too bad Dallas and mom were stuck in Russia without their passports to get back to the US for the final pitstop.

I can't think of any other reason why Dallas and his mom weren't at the final pit stop.

Re: The Amazing Race season 13
How close were the top two finishers last night, does TAR post the times somewhere? I think we all know that there is some serious editing sometimes on the races to keep our attention spans...
Speaking of tina, she should of been disqualified on the Detour where they had to balance on a log up in the trees and jump and grab the marker. You could see her grabbing the safety line with her hands which should be illegal... Either that, the belayer should of just let the rope go slack!

Re: The Amazing Race season 13
My friend and I were talking today about the whole Toni and Dallas being stuck in Russia situation and we think that even if the cameraman who was with them saw them leave their passport they weren't allowed to tell them because it falls within the domain of making the race more interesting and a valid handicap befalling a team to trip them up.
If that's the case than that's pretty messed up lol, the show needs to think ahead and say "hey, this could possibly become a really big problem for them after the race." which at that point was very soon.

Me too, and it was all summed up perfectly by Starr...
"That was hard!" lol.
I had to take a couple of pulls on my asthma inhaler watching that challenge lol.

It's not the first time we've seen someone forget the bags, though - just the worst-timed incident. I think previous contestants that have been interviewed mentioned how much the need to keep that particular bag on hand is impressed upon them.
I think it's a function of the way that Roadblock was designed, though, and will probably be taken into consideration when designing future races. I can't recall another time when one player was been sent that far afield from another in a roadblock, to the point of taking taxis and doing navigation. Usually, it's hard to lose the bag because there's always a partner to double-check, which was not the case here.

This has sort of become a staple of the game in the past few years, I think corresponding to a
Survivor producer joining the show to punch up the challenges a bit. Isn't that a regular part of that show, as well?

A million is such a nice, round figure, though. I suppose The Amazing Race can go to "a million dollars each".
