Re: spoke to warner about lack of lossless audio
hey guys , i felt i did the right thing by leaving the e-mail of the person i spoke to , after all she gave me her e-mail , i did not ask for it. furthermore i feel like most of should have e-mailed warner, which I just finished writing , a very nice letter about the audio. I for one think this is a big deal.I for one went out as i'm sure other people did to and bought a blu ray player and a hi def receiver , which were not cheap to enjoy blu ray for all it's glory. then when a company puts a half ass product out ( and wants us to purchase this half ass product as well) which i cannot enjoy to the fullest is sad. after all guys were talking about 2 most recent brand new films here ( racer and journey ) that should have been treated right , not 2 films that are 20 or 30 years old , then you say , oh well. i was really looking forward to hearing these 2 films in lossless audio , because i enjoyed them in the theater.I just read that Interview with the vampire has just straight dolby digital and was in DTS on standard video. that's what i'm saying , there's no excuse for this. They are the only studio who is pussy footing around with the audio , the only one ( as far as new films that is ). just voicing my opinion here guys that's all. If they ( warner ) continue to do this , i will be selling off all my equipment. After all you are talking about a major studio here , not some little guy.
