Any good Word Perfect experts out there? using WP 10 and found it seriously annoying that my mouse has different characteristics in this particular app than any other windows application and it's driving me nuts. Whenever i try to highlight text, if I have to go off the screen, the highlighter goes like warp speed and it's uncontrollable, yet this doesn't happen in any other application like MS Word, textpad, Wordpad, firefox, anything. it's just in Word Perfect and I can't figure out why... looked at the options and there is nothing that I can see why this odd behavior is happening... Not sure if this is a mouse driver problem or a Word Perfect problem....

What kind of mouse do you have? Does it come with specific drivers? For these kind of issues it's always easiest to check for a new version of your mouse driver, should you have one installed. Next would be to make sure to have all patches for WP installed.
Since WP 10 is quite old, you might look into upgrading as well; the older WP 12 can be had on
Amazon for $40
. Or try out Open Office. Version 3 will be out soon and the Release Candidate works quite well and is pretty stable, too.
