re: Big Bang Theory - season 2

Yea. This is now my favorite half hour show and probably my favorite new show last year.

I am looking forward to the new season.

re: Big Bang Theory - season 2

I agree about the bad timeslot. There are 3 shows on at the same time that basically appeal to the same demographic. Since I can only record/watch 2 of them, I am afraid that the Terminator will have to be forgotten.

Good season opener. Glad to have it back. Looking forward to the (de)evolution of Leonard and Penny's relationship.

Sheldon using that plastic contraption to fold his shirts was funny enough---but when he started folding his socks with it..

I like the look on his face when he discovered that Penny had tried to help and turned the first pair into an inside-out ball.

My fav sit com of last year is back and it hit the ground running!

I don't know about any of you but i'm gettin' me one of those shirt folding thingies as soon as possible lol. Sheldon's facial ticks when he was lying to Leonard was priceless...

"What's wrong with your face?"

"No need to bring my looks into this."

The ending was cringe worthy as Leonard stuck his brain in his mouth with Penny.

He's one of those actors where I marvel at how the show found the perfect match between actor and role.

re: Big Bang Theory - season 2

Definitely, and Jim must be a fairly gifted speaker in real life as well because how he memorizes and rattles off his sometimes mile-long lines of science-packed dialogue is beyond me!

That's why I was so disappointed that there are no bloopers or outtakes on the season one DVD because I wanted to know how much he flubs his lines before getting them right lol.

re: Big Bang Theory - season 2

The season opener did quite well in the ratings (imho) considering it was on against the Heroes Refresher and Terminator. It did a 5.7/9.

It is funny that Sheldon even mentioned the competition. When he was coming out of his room with his emergency travel bag he said something about it he keeps it packed because according to Homeland Security and Sarah Conner it was a good idea. (paraphrasing from a 44 year old brain) LOL

re: Big Bang Theory - season 2

Gotcha beat. I already own the blue plastic folding thing.

I loved the Catwoman and X-Men rankings. But I wish they had put Sheldon's top secret military collider under a phony agricultural station near Flatrock, NV, as that would have made it an Andromeda Strain reference.

re: Big Bang Theory - season 2

Very solid season opener.
Lots of great moments.
The laundry room scene was pretty funny when Sheldon
was folding his socks with the shirt folding contraption.

We also learned about some things that would upset Sheldon, or be a pet peeve of his

Changing the contrast or brightness setting on the television
Taking a band-aid off in front of him
Buy generic ketchup
Forget to rinse the sink
Talk to him through the bathroom door
adjust the thermostat
pronouncing the silent "t" in often
making fun of trains

and one I couldn't understand after the thermostat one,
something about cilantro.

That happens to be one I agree with. I assume that all the televisions in their apartment are properly adjusted with DVE or Avia at the very least, if they haven't been professionally calibrated. So of course mucking around with the settings would be a hanging offense. Isn't it in your house?

He's mentioned Terminator before. He questioned the logic of Skynet creating a murderous cyborg in the form of a hot teenage chick.

re: Big Bang Theory - season 2

This show really deserved an emmy nod, I think it's one of the best sitcoms on TV today, very smartly written and performed. And the Season opener was great. Yeah up against Chuck and Sarah Conner Sucks who thinks of these schedules. But there are other ways to watch, and I believe all three shows will be on Itunes this year again.

People who know me would not be surprised that the "changing the brightness and contrast on the television" line elicited a very loud laugh.

I had spent the early evening before watching this readjusting the convergence on my friend's HDTV.

The Codpiece Topology

FANTASTIC EPISODE!

My second favorite episode.
A great episode I laughed non stop all throughout.

Loved Sheldon coming in with his mother's package of his Nintendo 64.
Then seeing Sheldon on the apartment steps "Playing Super Mario on a poorly coded Ninteno 64 emulator."

Then the conversation between Sheldon and Penny about why he doesn't go to the movies(choking on popcorn with no one to give him the Heimlich) or dinner(Somebody touching his food when he goes to the bathroom) by himself.

Also a nice little added touch is when every time Sheldon paused his game, they used the real pause sound effect from Nintendo 64

Lots of great back and forth science lingo talk between Sheldon and Leslie.

A great ending with Sheldon as Spock at the Renaissance festival

Re: Big Bang Theory - season 2

The boys hit it out of the park once again with this episode which was packed wall-to-wall with laugh out loud moments!

I can't get enough, they need to do two eps a week instead of one.

Fav line is a simple, and juvinile, one from Sheldon...

"I have to make pee pee."

Sheldon came about as close as he's ever come to being comforting with his "Look on the bright side, only 9 months to Comic con." hehe.

Re: Big Bang Theory - season 2

I agree... Another great episode.

I would like to see the addition of a "nerd" female to the group dynamic (other than Miss Winkle). Even if it is just for a few episodes. It would be funny to make her sort of un-attractive and yet have the guys fawning over her. This would make Penny confused. She would start to get jealous of her and hilarity ensues.

I did get a kick out of hearing Penny try to explain Schrodinger's cat to her boyfriend. LOL Bless her heart, at least she is trying.

The reason for the break-up is classic BBT. Poor Raj at Comicon.

I have'nt seen it yet, but it's a great show, maybe the reason Terminator is flatlining is because of the quality of TBBT. Given the choice I'd take this show's survival over both Chuck and TSCC, even thou I like both

Okay, I just rewatched that scene about the cat.
I'm either very tired or missed what the joke was.

It's a referance to an episode last season where Sheldon explained the Cat theory to Penny when giving advice about whether or not to date Leonard.

This show looks amazing in HD and was also disappointed that it didn't go to Blu.

Re: Big Bang Theory - season 2

The joke was related to the season finale when Leonard was trying to explain to Penny what Schrodinger's cat was. She didn't have a clue. Then in last nights episode, she was overheard trying to explain it to her new boyfriend.

Here is a link to what the Schrodinger's Cat experiment is.
