Great result. It's very nice if kids of that age try to express an opinion like that, starting to sound like grown-ups who can weigh an individual movie.

(I'm late to the discussion, but I remember my kids' (then 7 and 8) opinion about "Home Alone". It was alright during the movie, and there were several big laughs, but later they said it actually wasn't funny seeing people hurt like that, and all not very plausible either. After seeing Home Alone 2, they ordered me never ever to bring any movie in the house anymore if Macaulay Culkin appeared in it, even if it was only a cameo.)

My son picked right up on the fact that the violence in the HA movies was exactly like that in a Bugs Bunny cartoon, so he had no problem in seeing the humor in burning people and dropping bricks on their head.

Anybody that helps me entertain six boys for the whole night is definitely alright in my book.

I have to agree with Mark. That violence is cartoonish. And implausible situations? Well, that just goes along with the territory of a farce like those. Not to poke fun....but the 3 Stooges were professionals, so never copy what they do in real life!!

Oh, I agree. Yet they made a difference between "real" people in a movie and an animated character.
The reason they started to hate MC had nothing to do with the "violence", BTW. They didn't like him playing.
