Placement of Center Speakers for 7.1 System

I have a 7.1 Paradigm Millenia Reference system for my 25 feet > long by 15 feet wide by 8 feet high Media room.

I can't use back walls since they have cabinets. My dealers claims that because the Millenia are not direct sound the speaker placement will still result in a big improvement for Blu Ray 7.1 versus 5.1

So would putting the 4 ADPs on the side walls work for 7.1 and the center speaker on the back wall above and a foot behind monitor

The center speaker goes in the front. Since most of the dialog comes from that speaker, you don't want it coming from behind you. Dolby Labs has a nice room layout tutorial - Dolby - Dolby Room Layout and Speaker Setup Guide - Speaker Placement for Home Theater Surround Sound

I wasn't clear, the center speak is in front behind the Monitor mounted on the wall.

My issue is with the back two speakers for a 7.1 system and having them on the same side wall as the surround speakers.

It's not ideal, but it can work. You would want to put the surround speakers directly to the sides of the listening position and the rear speakers several feet behind that. If it were me, though, I would just go with 5.1
