Re: RAH-- "Few Words" Column

If we do, I'd expect it to contain the same sort of caveats we've seen in Glenn Erickson's (DVD Savant) reviews of titles where he worked on the special features.

\"My opinion is that (a) anyone who actually works in a video store and does not understand letterboxing has given up on life, and (b) any customer who prefers to have the sides of a movie hacked off should not be licensed to operate a video player.\"-- Roger Ebert

Doubtful.

Very, very doubtful.

"All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible. This I did."  T.E. Lawrence

Re: RAH-- "Few Words" Column

If not "A few words about" how about- this being campaign season and all- something simple like, "I'm Robert A. Harris and I approve of this Blu-ray representation of the restored versions of THE GODFATHER films"

Re: RAH-- "Few Words" Column

Because his work speaks for itself. I saw the BD for the first movie last night and all I can say is, THANK YOU ROBERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought it looked magnificent. Robert and company have done a terrific job restoring this landmark movie. I plan on watching part two tonight.

And Mr. Harris, I watched a little bit of disc four's mini-doc on the restoration process. To borrow a phrase from Gordon in 'The Dark Knight', Our boy looks good on the TV.

Re: RAH-- "Few Words" Column

Bill Hunt was impressed with the BR set of the Godfather, that's good enough for me!

Re: RAH-- "Few Words" Column

Thanks for all you do Mr. Harris. Loved seeing you quoted in the new issue of Home Theater magazine, in the article about DNR and Blu-ray.

Great article by the way.

Re: RAH-- "Few Words" Column

From what I have seen RAH should like that one, very filmlike and true to the source - he couldn't have done it better himself
