The only thing that falls into the category is Wall-E which is $40 MSRP for the Blu-ray with the digital copy. However, they're also making a copy available without the digital copy disc for $35 MSRP and that's the same MSRP as the Ratatouille Blu-ray.

Another example of the same price is the just announced X-Files movie. On Blu-ray with the digital copy, it's $40 MSRP which is the going rate for Fox Blu-rays.

Re: Universal is now including Digital Copies!

Note that for DVDs you have your tiered releases where a film will be released in both a "Standard Version" and "Deluxe Version," with the Deluxe versions often including this new digital copy feature.

I think the only real trend we're seeing is simply that for the Bluray releases they're putting out ONLY Deluxe versions. Which makes perfect sense given the current sales and market for Blu. I don't see anyone complaining "Hey, where's my movie only Bluray release for XYZ ?"

"Because he's the hero that Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now... and so we'll hunt him... because he can take it... because he's not a hero... he's a silent guardian, a watchful protector... a DARK KNIGHT."
