Just picked up Airbourne, a new band that sounds like AC/DC, straight ahead ass kicking rock. I haven't listened to the whole thing but I think we have a winner, also got Buckcherry's new one, Black Butterfly, still in the shrink wrap, highly anticipated!
I know enough to know I don't know enough!

Not at this very moment, but I've been listening to Lara St John's recording of Bach's Sonatas & Partitas for Solo Violin on my iPod (in Apple Lossless format ripped from the Hybrid SACD)...

Ra Ra Riot - The Rhumb Line
The man I loved - the man who vanished - he never came back at all. But maybe he's still out there, somewhere. Maybe some day, when Gotham no longer needs Batman, I'll see him again.

After reading about the forthcoming MoFi SACD version of "What's Going On", I popped in Marvin Gaye's Greatest Hits.

Louie Bellson Orchestra; I Can't give You Anything but Love. A surprisingly light version, with lots of solos.

Nightwish: "End of an Era"
Nightwish: "Dark Passion Play" (I think "Amaranth" will be my favorite song of 2008).
When she embraces, your heart turns to stone
She comes at night, when you're all alone
And when she whispers, your blood shall run cold
You'd better hide before she finds you...

The Royal Scam by Steely Dan. Aja gets all the kudos but The Scam is very good in it's own right. Many of the musicians/singers/engineers that worked on Aja are also on this one. In fact, Larry Carlton has apparently received high praise for his work on Kid Charlemagne. The Royal Scam is also the first cd I bought. 1987, I think.

They use that song in MEATBALLS.
Seems like there was a TV show called Makin' It, that used it as it's theme song....
