Re: Kitchen Nightmares Season 2
I'm with everyone else, I couldn't believe the attitude of that guy, David. I think we got a peek at the reality behind the situation when Gordon said for David, it was all about the image and the TV show. I wonder if the guy showed up thinking he was going to play the show and the producers made sure that they took him down.

Re: Kitchen Nightmares Season 2
One thing that's hammered home every time I watch this show is that I NEVER want to go into the restaurant business...........and after seeing the conditions in some of the kitchens I'm not so gung ho about eating out anymore either.

Re: Kitchen Nightmares Season 2
I *almost* went into the restaurant business once (my wife owned a small place and I thought about buying out her partner, but they eventually sold the business). Sometimes I wonder what might have been.
Then I watch an episode of Kitchen Nightmares.

Running your own business can be a great thing, but running a restaurant involves a whole other level of things to worry about (especially if the head chef isn't one of the owners). Think of all those perishables.
