Blu-Ray mulit disc set question

hello,

i'm kinda new to the blu-ray world, but have recently purchased blu-ray DVD's like the sarah connor chronicles and oliver stone's nixon film.

both these sets contain multiple DVD's. since blu-ray holds 5 times the data as a regular DVD, why are they still being released on multiple DVD's?

surely Nixon could of been released on one DVD(instead of two) and i imagine the sarah connor set could be as well, since the whole series is only 8 episodes.

Short answer: Because hi-def video requires a lot more data, and therefore a lot more storage, then standard def video.
