Re: Dancing with the Stars - Season 7
TMZ is "reporting" that Kim Kardashian cut up her foot.
Warren Sapp is definitely an interesting choice.
I'm curious to see how Susan Lucci does.
I've never watched the show before. Does everyone perform each week?

Decent eye candy in this line-up, but I think the athletes will rule the show.

And the sun will come up in the East.

Does Misty May-Treanor have an advantage here? . . .

Re: Dancing with the Stars - Season 7
What is it about them always giving Maksim physically imposing female partners? Misty has a remarkable physique (you can't really tell while she's on the beach doing her thing, but on the dance floor, it's another story).
Susan Lucci looked like she was dancing on rice paper, that wasn't fun to watch. Tony seems to be paired with such women of middle age.
Brooke got overscored on her hip moves because she didn't really move well on the floor, just her hips.
I fear for Cloris's health, but loved her segment all the way through to her reaction to the scoring.
Warren's a big teddy bear who can dance. Finally Kym gets a partner who's got lots of strength to do the tough moves and tricks.
Ted won't fare as well on the latin dances, I suspect.
Lance will focus on razzle-dazzle, but his eyes were always looking in the same direction, which was off-putting.
Jeffrey will be going home this week, too bad for Edyta.
Kim seemed to be playing clumsy in her vid segment, but wasn't as clumsy during her dance, but still a bit stiff on the floor. Mark has his work cut out for him.
Will check out Toni, Cody, Maurice, Rocco later.

Re: Dancing with the Stars - Season 7
Lance Bass + Lacey Schwimmer -- Great first dance. Lacey and he make a great pair. Lance has the dancing experience, even if it was boy band stuff. He's a performer and it will help him a lot. (Season Top 4)
Toni Braxton + Alec Mazo -- A good job. She needs to be sexy and have fun. She's in good hands.
Brooke Burke + Derek Hough -- Best of the night for me and they looked great together. Say what you will about overscoring but it didn't look like a first night dance to me. (Season Top 4)
Rocco DiSpirito + Karina Smirnoff -- He needs to stick with cooking. Stiff and lumbering.
Maurice Greene + Cheryl Burke -- He had fun and will improve. Cheryl's a great partner.
Kim Kardashian + Mark Ballas -- He's the best mail dancer and she is hot as hell. She's a little timid and needs to have some fun. Her image will hurt her most. She can do wonders by being a real person -- not a reality star with a sex tape.
Cloris Leachman + Corky Ballas -- A nice routine and inspiring performance. She won't last long but I'm pulling for her.
Cody Linley + Julianne Hough -- Looked pretty good for a kid his age and Julianne makes all of her partners look good. I think he'll stick around for a while. (Season Top 4)
Susan Lucci + Tony Dovolani -- Stiff and awkward. No elegance. She was kind of flighty too. Nerves got the better of her.
Misty May-Treanor + Maksim Chmerkovskiy -- She's a competitor and will bust her ass to get it each week. Maxim is fantastic and they will have fun together.
Ted McGinley + Inna Brayer -- The Atom's quarterback looked okay for a first try. He will improve.
Jeffrey Ross + Edyta Sliwinska -- Terrible. Poor Edyta. They're gone.
Warren Sapp + Kym Johnson -- He's light on his feet and that will be his best attribute. He'll stick around for a while. (Season Top 4)
I'm looking forward to tonight.

Re: Dancing with the Stars - Season 7
Is anyone else starting to be a little put off by the absurd range of the contestants? I mean, John Ratzenberger was kinda adorable to watch for a while, but do they really expect us to be entertained by watching 80-year-olds and pudgy comedians compete against professional athletes and singer-dancers?

Re: Dancing with the Stars - Season 7
Lance Bass / Lacey Schwimmer -- did well on Monday but need to conform to the rules to stay in it.
Toni Braxton / Alec Mazo -- did well and will continue to improve. Toni needs to be sexy and go for it.
Brooke Burke / Derek Hough -- great paso -- especially the choreography. Brooke is on top for now.
Rocco DiSpirito / Karina Smirnoff -- I don't know what it is but I like this guy. I hope he sticks around a bit more. Karina is so hot.
Maurice Greene / Cheryl Burke -- His shtick is getting old.
Kim Kardashian / Mark Ballas -- She's a non-entity. Gone and good riddance. How can someone so beautiful and built be so vacuous and unsexy. Wait, she's a rich, spoiled brat. That's right.
Cloris Leachman / Corky Ballas -- Her shtick is getting old, too. There's tension between her and Corky.
Cody Linley / Julianne Hough -- Great dance the other night -- again, the choreography. the'r in it for the long haul. Julianne is the most gorgeous creature on primetime TV right now.
Susan Lucci / Tony Dovolani -- better on Monday. She's still a bit stiff.
Misty May-Treanor / Maksim Chmerkovskiy -- I enjoyed their paso. Misty needs to go for it. She's an athlete -- I expect her to grow a lot.
Warren Sapp / Kym Johnson -- The team to beat right now. Their paso was technical and entertaining. His footwork is great in th Latin dances. We'll see how he dows in the classic ballroom routines.

The show's been on in the US for just over 3 years and this is already season 7!

Well, it's on twice a year, just like Survivor (now on its 17th season).

Re: Dancing with the Stars - Season 7
I could not stop laughing for a good 2 minutes after Cloris and Corky finished "dancing". OMG, that was some good wacky stuff.
Brooke and Derek's dance was probably the first of the season that gave me slight goosebumps in certain spots of their number. Not sure it deserved a 10, but definitely a 9 for sure.
Rocco's probably going home if America still wants the Wackness to return next week.
Didn't need to see the footage of Misty's achille's tendon popping over and over again.

Re: Dancing with the Stars - Season 7
Lance Bass / Lacey Schwimmer -- A nice number. They have to improve a lot to stay in it. Lacey needs to be sweeter, too -- her crack about Cloris in the resthome could cause them to get booted.
Toni Braxton / Alec Mazo -- nice costumes. She needs to let go.
Brooke Burke / Derek Hough -- Best of the night. She's a natural. Beautiful lines. Great smile. Whata a body.
Rocco DiSpirito / Karina Smirnoff -- He improves every week.
Maurice Greene / Cheryl Burke -- Scored a bit higher than I expected. His footwork was sloppy, especially at the beginning.
Cloris Leachman / Corky Ballas -- Ridiculous. I was cringing, not laughing.
Cody Linley / Julianne Hough -- They danced below expectations this week. He looked lost. Julianne is stunning no matter what. Aagin, she's the hottest woman on TV -- bar none.
Susan Lucci / Tony Dovolani -- Good job. She's still too stiff.
Warren Sapp / Kym Johnson -- Really well done. He can move -- no doubt there.
I feel really bad for Misty and Max. Dancing doesn't matter -- I hope she comes back stronger than ever for v-ball.
Cloris needs to go. Rocco may go. Brooke vs. Warren in the finals.

It'd be funnier if they brought back Kim Kardashian with Maksim, he'd pull out his hair trying to push her as hard as he pushed Misty.

Re: Dancing with the Stars - Season 7
Lance Bass / Lacey Schwimmer -- Poor Lance. Lacey is dancing her ass off and making him look bad. The judges laid it out plain as day: "Make the star look like a good dancer. We know you are already." She was crushed -- and she deserved it. Mind you, I'm in love with her. She needs to help him look like the bomb. He's not there yet. Their scores go up and down -- shaky ground to build a winning season on.
Toni Braxton / Alec Mazo -- She moves well and has musicality. They really have no chemistry to speak of. She too closed off.
Brooke Burke / Derek Hough -- They have fun and look great together. It's a winning combination.
Maurice Greene / Cheryl Burke -- Their best dance so far. He stepped up and delivered.
Cloris Leachman / Corky Ballas -- Sorry. She creeps me out. She did well, though.
Cody Linley / Julianne Hough -- They looked pretty good this week and had a lot of fun. Cody's biggest problem is he lacks musicality and rythym. He hits the moves but they look like moves. She is the hottest woman on TV right now. Love her.
Susan Lucci / Tony Dovolani -- Again, good job. She's still too stiff. He's too dainty with her.
Warren Sapp / Kym Johnson -- Loved their routine. They look good together and he can move. The crowd loves him, too.
It's either Cloris or Lance tonight. I have a feeling.

As luck would have it, I was at tonight's taping of the Jimmy Kimmel show, and Julianne Hough was there to pre-record a singing segment for a November show on Kimmel, and I happen to be within 10 feet of the stage. She's mighty purty from that distance. Too bad most of my Blackberry-cam shot were crap.
