I have a Sony KDL-52w3000 52" LCD HDTV which has always had a slight vertical banding issue - a 1-2 inch soft white line that runs down the screen towards the left quarter side that only shows up when colors are on the grey side. It doesn't overtake the picture but is in the background. I've heard that this banding issue is a known problem with LCDs, and the set only has another month left on the warranty. Is it worth fixing, or is this just an LCD quirk that I have to live with?
