You had me excited for a second. I thought they were going to use the field-sequential method. Too bad its in the anaglyph method which gives you nothing but headaches and crappy 3-D.

Re: WHV Press Release: The Polar Express Presented In 3-D (DVD/Blu-ray)

If it is really anaglyph 3-D, they should be soundly ridiculed for calling it "dazzling new technology"...

I'm hoping (most likely in vain) that it's actually a new process, not because I want to see POLAR EXPRESS, but because it might make 3-D releases possible of films I do actually want to see at home in good 3-D, like HOUSE OF WAX, DIAL M FOR MURDER, etc.

This, along with the anaglyph Hannah Montana disc, is beyond stupid. When is that thing actually going to come out that works with those DLP TVs labeled "3-D Ready"??

The "3-D Ready" TV's work fine with SD DVD's that are field-sequential 3-D but, you will need a PC that outputs 120hz, PC software and a field-sequential system. There are not that many 3-D field-sequential SD DVD's though.
