Help me remember the name of this candy bar.

It was a round candy in a silver wrapper. It was covered in milk chocolate and the center was nuget(sp?) and caramel with whole peanuts on the top only. Anyone remember?

The description of the candy bar sounds like a Reggie Bar:

In 1976, while playing in Baltimore, Jackson had said, "If I played in New York, they'd name a candy bar after me." The Curtiss Candy Company—appropriately enough, producers of the Baby Ruth bar (which the company has maintained was not named after Babe Ruth)—responded with a circular "bar" of peanuts dipped in caramel and covered in chocolate. The Reggie bars were handed to fans as they walked into Yankee Stadium. Jackson hit a home run, and when he returned to right field the next inning, fans began throwing the Reggie bars on the field in celebration. Jackson told the press that this confused him, thinking that maybe the fans did not like the candy. The Yankees won the game, 4-2.

The description of the wrapper sounds like a Goo Goo Cluster:

But it had marshmallow and no nougat.

Re: Help me remember the name of this candy bar.

When I was in school they made us sell candy from time to time and I remember 2 different kinds.

One was chocolate covered coconut and was called either Chuck Wagon or Wagon Wheel or something like that.

The other was chocolate covered peanuts, caramel and either nougat or a crispy cookie base. It was called Nutty Buddy. I Googled it and found a lot of information on athletic protector cups but nothing on candy bars.

Anyway, Nutty Buddy might be it.

Sounds like a Chunky, but those were square, not round.

Chunky had raisins. Creepy.

Still has. I bought one a while back. It's a little like a solid block of Raisinets, & I have nothing bad to say about that.

Re: Help me remember the name of this candy bar.

Except for the silver wrapper, the candy itself sounds a LOT like the "Reggie" Bar, which was named after Reggie Jackson. That had an orange wrapper, IIRC.

That's the first one I thought of too. And had the same revelation. It's square.

Now I want to have one...

Could be a Baby Ruth.

Chunky's thicker-er.

Wow. I never noticed it before but the Chunky bar looks like a miniature Aztec Temple.
