Hi all! Haven't been 'round these parts for a while! Nice to be back!

I have a 46" Sharp AQUOS as my primary TV, and my receiver is fairly new, but kinda low end. (Denon AVR-688)

I took the plunge today and bought the Sharp BD player. (Walking through Future Shop, and my wife said "lets get blu-ray!" I was stunned!)

However, I stupidly didn't do my research first, and didn't realize it's 1.0, rather than 1.1. (I'm not worried about 2.0...) I caved because the Sharp was on sale for 299! (The Panny is currently 459)

I'm trying to decide whether to keep it, or return it and pick up the 1.1-enabled Panasonic BD30. I know that the Panny doesn't decode the newer audio formats, but my amp can't handle them anyway. Will it be worth the extra 150 bucks for PIP functionality, and any other "features" that haven't show up yet?

I only have a half-dozen BD titles at the moment, so I'm QUITE concerned about the quality of SD up-converting. I've got about 600 DVD titles at the moment! Are either machines better/worse at upconverting to 1080p?

Anyway... thoughts folks? Keep the Sharp, or return it and get the Panny?! I can't decide! Help!
