I have a green stuck pixel on my week old Samsung, I was wondering if I should return it for another one or are stuck pixels common in LCD sets?

Re: Stuck pixel on Samsung LN40A550

Greetings

At the mercy of the store you got it from. One pixel stuck is not covered by warranty. It is within spec ... as the manual would say.

Re: Stuck pixel on Samsung LN40A550

"Within 14 days of purchase if the monitor has 1 dead pixel or more anywhere on the screen you are entitled to go back to the place of purchase for them to replace it for you."

Here's the link to that policy

I just wrote newegg.com about this (no response yet). I was thinking of getting brave and ordering a 22" Samsung monitor online.

...oops...just noticed this is Australia. Heh heh! Looks like they reversed this policy anyway.

/never mind

Newegg responded with "our policy is decided by our RMA department". So there!
