Marc Platt is 'Wanted' at Universal - Entertainment News, Film News, Media - Variety

Proceeding at quicker pace is "Wanted 2," though Platt acknowledged that the creative team is still working on the challenge of continuing the story after most of the principal characters -- including Angelina Jolie -- ended the original in no position for an encore. But the film was designed as a potential franchise, Langley said, and it is still performing strongly after grossing $192.6 million worldwide. The intention is to get James McAvoy back into gunslinging mode. "The writers are at work already, and those creative discussions are taking place," said Platt, who is producing once again with Jim Lemley.

Don't be surprised to see 'return from the dead' for one of the main characters.

I was going to say the same thing...But, about Jolie. He could have thrown her in the vat of wax.

Bring back John Doe! Or at least resolve the cliff-hanger with a 2hr movie or as an extra on a dvd release.

Re: Wanted 2 Greenlit

They'll have to do something, as that character was the main audience draw. I doubt most of the audience attending "Wanted" had even heard of James McAvoy prior to this film.

Uncle Joe: I'll never marry you, Selma Plout!  You may as well take off that wedding dress and put it back in your Hopeless Chest!
