Toshiba releases firmware 2.7-3.0 for A2/A3/A20/A30/A35/XA2

I just finished updating my XA2 with the CD which arrived in the mail from Toshiba today.

If anyone needs the CD, let me know and I'll be happy to mail it to you.

I saw some comments on AVS that there might be some problems with 3.0. Can't remember the details, maybe with 1080p24 ...

If it's not worth waiting until the last minute to do, then it's not worth doing.

Ok, I just checked, jaggies were introduced with 2.0 (vs 1.3), and they are still there for 3.0 with a 1080p/24 feed to the display. Scattered detail in here:

I can't update my A35. It won't accept my Ethernet connection (cable modem), and it won't read any of the disks I made from the ISO image.

A number of my disks won't play on this player at all, including The Searchers and Children of Men.
