The first SNL episode...

I just happen to be watching the first SNL episode tonight. And I see something that they do and that the current SNL should take into consideration...Don't over extend the skit. The skit in the courtroom where they are reading what the defendent said and Belushi hands the dirty note to a napping Radner and she winks. If that skit was done today. It would have been bloated another few minutes and ruined it. Timing is more important then length.

Bring back John Doe! Or at least resolve the cliff-hanger with a 2hr movie or as an extra on a dvd release.

Re: The first SNL episode...

One thing that was almost a little spooky is Carlin's second standup part in it:

"Do you ever look at the crowds in old movies and wonder if they're dead yet?"

Other than that though it was pretty good.

It's weird for me... watching a funny SNL, I'm not really used to that
