Olevia 55" for $1599 at TigerDirect. Good or Bad?

Olevia 255TFHD LCD TV - 55", 1920 x 1080, 1080p, ATSC, NTSC, S-Video, HDMI In at TigerDirect.com

I found this ad for a 55" Olevia LCD TV. What is the general opinion on this set? Is the price really good or is it just about right? Are there better sets out there i should consider?

Thanks

Mark

Re: Olevia 55" for $1599 at TigerDirect. Good or Bad?

Suggest that you investigate the "service" issue, totally.
Who will service the tv?
What will be your costs for packing it up and shipping it somewhere?
Google "Olevia Service" and find some forums.

From my experience, Tiger is an excellent dealer. But second and third tier HDTV TVs are notoriously poor regarding service, no matter where they're purchased.

Sony and Samsung are considered to be the high end, with high quality and good service routines. Cost you another grand, however.
