New HT receiver with full HDMI

I'm looking for a list of home theater receivers with HDMI capability for both video AND audio. I don't want to spend a fortune but I would like to have the PS3 and direcTV hooked up and be able to enjoy full 5.1 surround. I've purchased a couple lower end units and they only supported video through HDMI. Thanks in advance.

Re: New HT receiver with full HDMI

Onkyo TX-SR606B Black Receiver - In Stock at OneCall.com

Free shipping from a well known reputable site

or Amazon.com: Onkyo TX-SR606 7.1 Channel Home Theater Receiver - Black: Electronics

From an Amazon store I don't know much about. Either way the Onkyo TX-SR605 or TX-SR606 is going to be the cheapest that has DTS-HDMA or Dolby TrueHD decoding via HDMI v1.3.

Re: New HT receiver with full HDMI

In this price range, the Yamaha RX-V663 would also make a good choice though it only comes w/ 2 HDMI inputs while providing 100Mhz component video switching (vs 50Mhz on the Onkyo 606). FWIW, the Yamaha also offers pre-out (in case you ever want to use it as a prepro w/ better, separate power amp(s)) plus DSD decoding (for SACD playback via HDMI), which I don't believe the Onkyo does.

You can find the Yamaha for ~$400 (or under) in various places online. In fact, I (and another HTF member) recently bought one off eBay for ~$350 shipped from an authorized dealer (w/ solid feedback rating on eBay).
