Any Dress Codes We Should Be Aware Of?

I know that for most of the events during the day the dress is somewhat casual, but are there any special dress code requirements for the parties?
No matter how much the movie insists that there's tension, I must respectfully disagree with it. - Crow T. Robot on "The Blood Waters of Dr. Z"

Re: Any Dress Codes We Should Be Aware Of?

As long as no-one shows up looking like a complete slob,
there should be no problem.

As it will be brutally hot in Vegas, shorts and shirt are fine.

I'll be wearing a sports jacket and jeans only because I don't get
the opportunity to dress in nicer clothes that much.

Re: Any Dress Codes We Should Be Aware Of?

Since I live in Vegas, I can tell you during the day you will be looking at least of 100 degrees and at night it will be about 85 degrees.

With the two parties, I'm going to wear something somewhat nice.
at least a shirt/tie or jacket

Re: Any Dress Codes We Should Be Aware Of?

Last year was fairly casual....I think I wore a shirt and jeans.
I will say...it was hot as HELL last year.

Re: Any Dress Codes We Should Be Aware Of?

I have a few Khaki pants and some dress shirts. Packing shorts as well for the night parties. But during the day mostly the dress pants/shirts. I've got to look professional for all of you

Re: Any Dress Codes We Should Be Aware Of?

I tell ya what, if I have to wear pants to go to the top floor parties I'd do it just for the photos, to heck with the alchohol =p I'm bringing a mini tripod this year just in hopes we can sneak back to that awesome night club and I've got khakis packed for that and that alone =)

Just to let everyone know.
This is and will be a very hot week.

You're looking at 104-106 for a high
and 85 for a low.

That's what Sunday-Wednesday is shaping up to be.

Re: Any Dress Codes We Should Be Aware Of?

I noticed a few people mentioning shorts - some places (like the Playboy Club) won't let you in if you're wearing shorts. I found this out the hard way last year. You'll be fine for any of the EMA events, but if you want to head someone after (which happens a lot) then be aware you may be turned away.

Re: Any Dress Codes We Should Be Aware Of?

Bring shoes, not just sneakers or sandals! Some upscale places will not admit you if you're not wearing shoes. Check the dress codes for the clubs and restaurants at The Rio and The Palms for more info.
