I have the Recalled RCA RT2600 receiver and mine does NOT have thre overheating issue that the recall said it has.
the warning did say that the AVR will overhat due to a lack of ventilation. But I usaually keep any amp I have out in the open near an A/C vent or on top of an entertainment center or in the coolest part of the room anyway so I guess I am in luck Plus I don't think Mine has "A" in the S/N or a 650 watt sticker mine says 620 watts instead in blue instead of black like in their photo Although mine could be a later "bug-fixed version"
I do know it was the receiver/HTIB
Discontinued in 2003. I got it a week ago and the cooling fan hasnt stopped nor have I had any blown speaker outputs and such. I shut off most of my gear anyway evey night via the power strip each night any way. (exept the alarm clock)
