"The movie starts quite dark, a little too dark, with blacks so deep they almost overwhelm. This, however, evens out through the remainder of the film. "

i noticed that too and just figured it might be intended as she was
a blind person for the beginning of the movie.

i also though the soundtrack was a tad low.
i popped in the blu ray of meet the spartans and found that one's
7.1 track had a fuller sound.
