WBHV Tennessee Williams Box Set

B & N has the Tennessee Williams Box Set on sale for half price. It's part of the WBHV Father's Day promotion, but it appears to be on sale only at B & N, though it is listed as a special, but at regular price, at DeepDiscount. I was looking for any reviews or comments about this set. Is there a link in Digital Bits or HTF to the reviews for this set?

Re: WBHV Tennessee Williams Box Set

Highly recommended, and without reservation.

Personally, I think Cat On a Hot Tin Roof is over-digitized. It looks like the linoleum on my kitchen floor. Clean and shiny without the grain that creates ambiance and atmosphere. But most people today expect old movies to look like linoleum or they think something's wrong with the transfer. So the new Cat On a Hot Tin Roof should meet with much approval.

As drama the real knock-out for me is John Huston's The Night of the Iguana, one of the director's greatest achievements, and one of Williams' best works. In monochrome, and very fine.

Buy that box-set.

Me too! Night Of The Iguana and Baby Doll are, in my opinion, the real prizes of this set!

This was surely among my top releases of 2006.
