Burbank, Calif., May 27, 2008 – Stoners Harold and Kumar are back in search of fast food and high times when Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle (Extreme Unrated Edition) debuts on Blu-ray™ Hi-Def on July 29 from Warner Home Video. Directed by Danny Leiner (Dude Where’s My Car?), Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle follows John Cho (American Pie films, Star Trek) and Kal Penn (TV’s “House”, The Namesake, National Lampoon’s Van Wilder films) as they set out on a journey to satisfy their craving for White Castle’s delicious burgers and find themselves on a hilarious all-night adventure as they run into one wacky obstacle after another. The Blu-ray™ Hi-Def release will coincide with the DVD release of the film’s successful sequel Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay.

Cameos by Neil Patrick Harris (TV’s “How I Met Your Mother”), Ryan Reynolds (Definitely Maybe), Fred Willard (TV’s “Back to You), Jamie Kennedy (Kicking It Old School), Bobby Lee (TV’s “Mad TV”) Eddie Kaye Thomas (TV’s “Till Death”) and Christopher Meloni (TV’s “Law & Order SVU”) up the comedy quotient as the pair with a bad case of the munchies wander all over New Jersey searching for the famous burgers they saw in a TV commercial.

All bonus materials on the Extreme Unrated Edition standard definition edition will be included on the Blu-ray™ Hi-Def version along with a digital copy of the film which allows consumers a single non-transferable download of the full-length feature to their PC or portable device. While I've never seen the Extreme Edition.
I do like this movie enough to buy on Blu-ray.
And I'll be curious to hear the Director/cast commentary.
