I bought a TX-SR605 in March and I hooked up my old speakers and the cable box to the HDMI input and it works beautifully. I bought an IOMEGA Multimedia drive last week and hooked it up to the second HDMI input. It plays the first video/audio well. When I go to the menu (IOMEGA) the display starts blinking. It lets me navigate the folders and pick items, but the video/audio keeps blinking with no perceptible audio/video. I then turn the receiver off and then turn it back on, and then it is fine, until I stop and go to the next selection.
I do not know what the issue is and would like the members' advice.
I unplugged the HDMI cable from the receiver and plugged it directly in the TV. I do not have any issues. This eliminates the question about the HDMI cable or the IOMEGA drive itself. I also tried either of the HDMI inputs, with the same result. I also tried to use this as the only input, yet the same issue.
