Napster joins the legit mp3 download bus

Why is this important for us iTunes freaks? Cause Napster has a lot of artists Apple and Amazon doesnt. Key for me is they have about a dozen AC/DC albums, tho this is only a slim part of their back catalog.

Will explore a bit and see what other artists they have that I've been frustrated that Apple doesn't...

Edit: BAH According to Ars you cant actually get half the songs they say you can in MP3, and I'm sure that includes ACDC.

My wife compared Napster to Amazon yesterday; Amazon won resoundingly.

Re: Napster joins the legit mp3 download bus

Hasn't Napster been "legit" for about 10 years now?

Amazon's service is very nice. I bought a bunch of Xmas music there last year. As nice as Apple's store is, I don't like to spend much money on DRM'd music -- I want to have some confidence it will play a decade from now.

They were legit as a subscrition DRM service. These are DRM free MP3s. Their UI is a disaster but what I am hping for a win in is their selection. that doesnt seem to be the case tho!

You know, I'd think by now someone would have figured out that challenging Apple in a market they dominate with bad UI won't work. Guess not...
Maybe they do realize it, but find it impossible to hire/keep programmers capable of designing and implementing an Apple quality UI? Maybe Apple and Google have hired everyone with talent who isn't doing their own little company or isn't an Adobe legacy?
Hold on tightly, let go lightly.
