Sorry, Amazon.co.uk updated that page form 4 discs to 3 discs and 512 minutes just after I posted here! I noticed too that the German and French Amazon are complete, but why will the UK not get it?

maybe sony UK will combined some of the salem episodes and then maybe they will combined the marry the good fairy episode. For the UK fans this really sucks!!!! Or maybe they will take the Japan route and not put all season episodes on and wait and put them on the season 8 release which is really stupid.I don't know why Japan did that?? Does anybody else?? None the less Sony UK better be prepared for some mighty ticked Bewitched fans!!

Is the Japan season 7 not complete? Because I was thinking about getting it (or the french one) instead of the UK version, I want a complete season 7!!
So is this not complete?!

i do beleive that season 7 is complete however other seasonin japan are not and split episodes between sets.Season 1,2,and 3 are not completre in Japan I think? Actually (I'm not sure on this) but it might include the episdoes not included on the other sets. I hope this helps.

Regarding the Japan releases, seasons 7 and 8 were complete but each one was split between two volumes (Season 7, Sets 1 & 2 and Season 8, Sets 1 & 2 )sort of like the studios are now doing with various tv shows. All the episodes are there however...I checked my sets and this is how they are presented:

Bewitched 7th Season Set 1 Discs 1-3
each disc has 5 episodes

Bewitched 7th Season Set 2 Discs 4 -6
disc 4 has 5 episodes, discs 5 & 6 have 4 episodes each

(total episodes for season 7: 28, which is correct)

Bewitched 8th Season Set 1 Discs 1-3
each disc has 5 episodes

Bewitched 8th Season Set 2 Discs 4-6
disc 4 has 5 episodes, disc 5 has 6 episodes (total episodes for season 8 - 26), disc 6 has 5 episodes from seasons 1, 2 & 3 that were not included in the original release sets.

Hope this helps out. I got my sets a couple of years back and am really glad I got them to complete the series.

Good news for UK Bewitched fans:

Play.com have updated their listing the say that the UK release will have four discs and will have a runtime of 702 minutes, which is correct for all 28 episodes being in the set. They also now have the cover art and a better synopsis - Play.com (UK) : Bewitched: Season 7 (4 Discs) : DVD - Free Delivery

However, Sony have still not corrected the runtime on their own site, so let's hope than Play is correct.

I am sure that is correct. Sony is not suddenly going to lop one disc off a set in one territory only... and put it out for the same price. The 3 disc/512 minute is clearly a mistake. The UK will get a complete set like always.

And I'm tickled that we have the Screen Gems logos on the episodes and to see at least for once, a sponsor opening restored! (THAT JUST PROVES HOW LAZY SONY WAS IN THE OTHER RELEASES!!)

Can't wait to get my set!

Thanks for the great reviews! I'm hoping I can snag it early this weekend somewhere. (Although, last time when Fry's had it out on the floor a week early, the register couldn't ring it up as the street date had been coded in and the system wouldn't allow the sale. )

Have watched all of the first disk. It is what I expected, nice and clear. Sound is good too.

Special Christmas episode includes original opening and closing with Elizabeth Montgomery.

I am so looking forward to this season! I have heard so many good things about it.

Also, I really enjoyed all of season six ... so that naturally has me desiring to watch the next season.

What can I say .. I just love Bewitched!!!

I suppose everyone is looking at some episodes, just right now because this topic is quiet, on release day.
Well, good for you if you're already enjoying season 7!

As for me, I had the box set in my hands at lunch time today in a video and CD store near my office building. I left it in the store because I ordered the region 2 edition from France because SONY went cheap into excluding French on season 7.

I still cannot understand that. French dub was available on season 6. It's a shame that this edition is sold in Canada whereas French and English are the only official languages of the country. We needed a Canadian edition of Bewitched.

Hi MBrousseau, I'm just curious and I mean no disrespect, and you don't have to answer if you don't want to, but why is it important to you that the show is dubbed in French? I assume you can understand English because your posts are well written and constructed, so why wouldn't you want to listen to the show with the actor's real voices? I love Elizabeth Montgomery's voice. Does she sound better dubbed by another actress?

All the 2-parter endings and recaps are intact, unlike the Ben Franklin debacle. That's good. They also have the original voice-over re: American Airlines over the end credits of "Darrin on a Pedestal," which is cool. And, of course, the Screen Gems logo appeared on every episode that I sampled. I'm assuming it's on all eps. Overall, so far, nice job!

You have a good point, Ron.
I do love Mrs Montgomery's voice and talent, just as much as all the other cast. But as a native French fan, I grew up with French version of that show, just like almost every TV shows in the sixties. We weren't very much exposed of english TV, except for people living in the big city like Montreal where bilingual lifestyle is a fact over there. But everywhere else in the Province of Quebec, English is not mastered by everyone.

In my teen years, I've started to listen to reruns of the show, thanks to cable TV, coming from american TV stations. Without cable TV, no one was able to catch US TV channels off the air in my hometown. At this very moment, I started appreciate the natural comic beat from the show, the subtile references... something we often lose in a different language.

As an adult now, I understand that there is nothing like the real thing. But as a member of my family, I'm the only one comfortable with the english language. I would feel very much selfish to buy a TV show knowing I would be the only one to enjoy it. My family always watched the show in it's French version, like many many others. Bewitched is a must! Having French dub is a plus, for us. For myself, I will always prefer the english track, don't worry. The wife and kids will always stick the French. That's the way it is.

And believe it or not, but we do remember famous French quotes for Bewitched, just as much as a fan from the original english version.

I'm sure that every where in the world, some Bewitched fans are not always fortunate enough to appreciate the real talents of the cast in the original version. This is why dubbing is necessary versus the cold subtitles. Foreign actors are working hard to capture the climax from a comedic talent when they need to dub voices. I admire that talent too.

I've just finished watching the first five episodes and I'm so impressed!! Such great clarity and all!

I did pop in Disc 2 to check out "Sisters at Heart". The EM openings and closings are so awesome!!! Great clarity of picture and sound. Unfortunately, the Oscar Mayer sponsor opening isn't on that episode Which is weird that they'd put the intro and the "Bewitched Back in a Moment" on there but not the sponsor opening.

I'm getting really excited to watch all the other episodes aside from the Salem, which I've had in their uncut form on tape for awhile, and "Sisters at Heart", which is also on tape, so that I can see all the "new" scenes that always seem to be edited out on reruns.

Martin, it is a shame that Sony didn't put a French track on here when they did last season. Let's keep our fingers closed and our eyes crossed that they have it on Season 8.

That makes sense. Too bad Sony doesn't understand this. Makes me wonder, too, why they didn't include the French audio since they did for the other seasons.
