5. Respect for copyrights. Home Theater Forum has a strict policy of respecting the rights of copyright holders. We do not allow discussion of bootleg material or where or how to obtain it, and we immediately delete all links to sites that deal in bootleg material. If you have any doubt whether a source is legitimate, please check with a moderator before posting any links. We also do not allow discussion of (a) how to make unauthorized copies of video or audio materials, (b) how to defeat any form of copy protection (including, for example, how to make “personal” copies of commercially produced DVDs), and/or (c) how to obtain equipment that can only be used for such purposes.

You've basically asked the same question 4 times, and you're not exactly "new" here.

Home Theater Forum - Search Results

If you are making legitimate format materials then please be specific. Commercial software already exists to make DVD, Blu-Ray, iPod, PSP (etc.) from non-copyrighted/copy-protected materials. Walk into any Best Buy/Future Shop (etc.) and browse the software department. High-end software can be more easily obtained from Manufacturer sites as downloads or as physical software from sites like Amazon.

Please refrain from asking this question any more. It will simply get you banned from the forum.

Re: Looking for *illegal* software?

What if it's a broadcast of High Definition media she wants to put to disc? Would it apply for films not on any High Definition media or everything? Can't even discuss preserving Laserdisc content not even on DVD? Please explain more thoroughly.

Did you not read the HTF policy Ray? Or at least that part that Keith put in bold.

Your questions are answered there. Copyright applies not just to HD material.
