PS3 7.1 audio HDMI only?

I'm sure this is already here but I can't find it.

I have a PS3 and an RX-V2400 receiver with 7.1. The Receiver has no HDMI input.

Am I stuck with 5.1? Is there another way to get 7.1 out of the PS3?

Are there processors which will process an HDMI output from the PS3 and give me 7.1 optical or cable? How much are we talking for this?

Re: PS3 7.1 audio HDMI only?

The only movies I know of that are in 7.1, are a handful of Blu ray and HD DVD movies. To hear those, you'll need a receiver that can process the HD audio formats over HDMI.

I think the only way you'll get 7.1 from ANY other receiver, is using Dolby Pro Logic IIx. Regular dvds only go as high as 6.1, and most are only 5.1 DD or DTS.
