Is there going to be a separate schedule for HTF attendees to EMA like last year?

Re: EMA Event schedule

Raul,

I have a conference call with EMA organizers later today.

There will be a separate event schedule for our group
but there's still question as to whether it will remain open
for all show attendees or not.

Hopefully I will have some news by the end of today.

Re: EMA Event schedule

For anyone interested in some admittedly general schedule info, the latest issue of Video Business (May 19) has a two-page HME ad with a brief, broad listing of "Highlights and Special Events" at the show. It's on pages 14 and 15 of the digital edition.

Re: EMA Event schedule

Ron sent me something that printed for me; thanks. Thanks also, John, for your kind offer.

In looking over the sked Ron just sent out, I momentarily forgot about that whole other separate schedule of Seminars Andrew linked to above. To the extent time permits vis-a-vis the HTF-specific stuff, I hope to check out some of those presentations as well, especially "Blu Skies – Assuring the Success of Blu-ray Disc" which looks like it falls in a break in "our" scedule on Wednesday mid-day.

And don't forget about Digital Media Day on Thursday, including the Consumer Preferences Panel at 10:45a featuring four HTFers (including yours truly).

Btw, I understand the theater for Get Smart / Love Guru is walking distance from TGI Fris. But Rio-to-Orleans is not walkable, and we're all on our own recognizance to get to Orleans, yes?

Re: EMA Event schedule

Well, if you're leaving prior to Thursday morning's panel, at least Win, RayJr, myself and the other panelist will be less likely to be cursed at when the topic of U-Control comes up.

Re: EMA Event schedule

Paul,

Yes, the GET SMART theater is steps away from TGI FRIDAYS.
However, the distance between the Rio and the Orleans is not
a recommended walk in the heat (20 minute walk I hear). Best
bet is to take the shuttle or share a cab with other members.

Thx, Ron.

Better yet, burn your message to HD DVD--we'll be sure to make like "monkeys" and press the A button for supp content you "can't access from the main menu."
