Hello,
I recently purchased my first HD television (Sharp 42" aquos) and would like a little more volume sometimes. I do not want to get a full surround sound system because of all the speakers, but was thinking about getting Soundmatters mainstage 5.1 emulator . Has anyone used this system before? Seems to have good reviews. Or would something else work better. My needs are for more volume and having some improvement of sound quality over regular stock television speakers.

I heard the new Yammy sound bars at a local store in their demo area. I was very impressed that the single speaker could emulate surround sound.

I would not trade in my 5.1 setup for one, but for a single speaker, I thought it was great.
