I recently purchased my first HD television (Sharp 42" aquos) and would like a little more volume sometimes. I do not want to get a full surround sound system because of all the speakers, but was thinking about getting Soundmatters mainstage 5.1 emulator . Has anyone used this system before? Seems to have good reviews. Or would something else work better. My needs are for more volume and having some improvement of sound quality over regular stock television speakers.
