i have pre-order Vega$ and i should have my copy be the end of the month. I am looking forward to watching the show. October 2009 is a good month for releases with Married with Children (last season), Get Smart! 4th, Mannix 3rd, Hawaii Five-O, etc.
Long live classic tv from 1960s-1980s. I missed the old shows and can not stand what is on tv now. I think the past 12 years that i have only been interested in a few shows, like Corner Gas, Enterprise, Silk Stalkings, Melrose Place, Pacific Blue, Third Watch, etc. I have been collecting dvd and it is only tv that i watch anymore. i only have basic cable and internet. I am more concern about the internet then i am about tv.
The last things I watched on network TV was around the mid 90's. I haven't seen any show since then except for "Firefly" on DVD. I know there's been some good shows here and there since '96 or so, but since a lot of that is available on DVD, unlike some of the older shows, I can check out any of the recent shows that might intereest me on DVD down the road.
"Checkmate King Two Out" Jeff Willis "Combat! A Selmur Production"
I'm a 50's - mid-90's TV/DVD Collector. One DVD show since '96: Firefly
The Fugitive/See Hollywood & Die: [Miles] "What, you think I'm crazy?!" [Kimble] "Next question."
I found the last episode to be especially fine, which leaves me with little worry for the later releases. Well worth getting, no question about it, and if you want me to put a finger on anything 'bad' (besides the almost traditionally missing subtitles) it's that the sound on the episodes is a tad low. Subs would've been welcome there. Other than that, no need to think twice here, and that title intro is still a true masterpiece. Bring on the dancing girls...!
I only took a quick look at the first disc,so far,and am going to start watching this tomorrow.
Picked up Season 1 Vol 1 today at Best Buy.
The back of Paramount's TV series DVDs seems to almost always state somethign about being edited / music changes.
Can anyone verify what these changes are if any. latelely Paramount just puts that on their releases for legal reasons. (i think)
