Re: Some U2 Remasters. Finally!
I've been waiting at least a decade for a remaster of these CDs. I really look forward to the early releases as I never picked them up. I found their original release of 'War' and 'The Unforgettable Fire' to be quite tinny in sound quality and thought that it would only sound worse for the earlier ones. I'll definitely be picking these up.

I agree with you Darren...I know that stylistically, it's supposed to sound kinda midrange-y but I do feel that they could do some work on the top-end a bit.

I love the War album, still sounds good, very raw.

Yay! Replace the old versions with new brickwall limited "remasters"! Woohoo!
Seriously, there is very little wrong with the catalog as it is, some sound downright fantastic. The remasters are almost guaranteed to be brickwalled. No thanks.

I have the first three U2 remasters, and while they are a little loud they are in no way brickwalled. They sound pretty good to me actually.
