My 80s Women article is up on RetroJunk...

I had started this piece in November of 2007, but had taken a break that lasted until earlier this year.

As you're well aware of, I was an active participant in a "Babes Of The 80s" thread on this forum until I accidentally irritated one of the women on my list, actress Kelli Maroney. We've made up since then, but my distress caused me to delete all my posts in that thread.

I eventually decided to resurrect my 80s women article for RetroJunk. I listed a whole bunch of my favorite women from the decade and talked about the reasons why I liked them.

Here's a link to the article: Some Of My Fave 80s Women | Article

It took several months, but it's finally been posted.

Give it a read and tell me what you think.

Sincerely,

John Kilduff...

It is a big article, so you don't have to read it all in one sitting.

I had forgotten to include her...There were a lot of women I forgot to mention. I don't hate any of them...I just tend to have a lot of things on my mind, and sometimes ideas get lost.

Just because I didn't include Kelli on the list doesn't mean that I don't like her. I truly and honestly do like her.

Sincerely,

John Kilduff...

I could do a part 2...Thanks for the idea. It would take a while to write, though.

Fantastic article John.
So many female musicians, and band members of the 80's that I had completely forgotten about for 20 or more years. At one point I had a vivid flashback to the shows Night Flight, and Solid Gold(think I'll check youtube for some vintage clips now). Thanks for your fantastic list, and please make more. I'm hooked!

Nice article. (Of course, I agree with most of your selections, so there isn't much to quibble about. ) I'm another one who had no idea that Robey was a singer, or paid any attention to "One Night in Bangkok", but developed a serious crush on her thanks to Friday the 13th: The Series.

Oddly enough I can't seem to find a good color picture of her to show off her amazing hair.

Interesting read John! I especially enjoyed the stuff on Blade Runner, some interesting thoughts in there.

I'm looking forward to part two.
