I hope the're all 1080p and PCM 5.1 and not sd dvds ported over to Blu just to cash in on the increasing popularity. That, and with the low price on these at around $10-$15, may give the impression that people will accept inferior transfers. Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself a bit. I should just wait for a review. But still, it does concern me. On the other hand, if they have quality product to offer in the way of PQ and AQ, then, bravo Echo Bridge. This is the first lower end studio to release on the format I've seen so my excitement is high. It's all starting to happen

The quality has been fairly decent, but some of their 5.1-mixes have been a bit weak (e.g. with some of the 5.1-tracks, it was just basically Mono-track duplicated to all 3 front channels, with added “echo” on the rear). But it´s good that the smaller companies also release films in Blu-ray. ![]() |
