To quote a character from one of the Crow movies, "For ____'s sake, die already." Anyway, in an interview, the showrunners said this STV movie will cover what happened between the time they get their freedom, and what we see "4 years later" in the final episode. It'll have the main cast back, with the possible exception of T-Bag (I don't remember if he was mentioned).

That seems kind of pointless. What more do we need to know? I knew the moment blood trickled from Michael's nose that his catchup would be graveside, and the date on the stone was something like May 2005. He didn't hang around much longer after signing the papers. I figure he did what he said he was going to do: save his brother, and in turn everyone else (some of whom wouldn't have needed saving if he had let well enough alone, but then the plan for world domination would have gone into effect or whatever the hell Scylla was about). Then, he was able to fall over and die in relative peace.

Maybe the movie will turn it on its ear and we'll find out he faked his death because of a new twist.

I enjoyed the ending and I liked that it was basically happy. Like Greg said, Michael accomplished his mission and saved his brother and his family and friends got to live happily ever after.

I was kinda bummed that T-Bag didn't die in some crazy Tom And Jerry-style way but being stuck in prison (presumably for the rest of his life) sucks pretty bad.

More than that, he has now had a taste of a better life which he will never have. Back in the first season he seemed almost content in prison - now it's agony.

Just returned from vacation and watched the final episode.

Looks like they brought back every character we had thought
were long gone.

I am just happy this show is finally done with. It was one of those
series that started out as a powerhouse (tremendous first season)
and with each subsequent season it just went further into the toilet.

The Show may not have been devoid of Plot Holes but it was Fun to watch and alot better than they hyped but really awful Season of 24 this year.

I don't know if I'd grade it that harshly - I think that if you excise the third season, the show holds up pretty well. Year three was a misguided attempt to get back to basics and try to prolong the series past its natural lifespan, but I think the show had a pretty healthy rebound for this year. The Mission Impossible-meets-The Dirty Dozen hook at the start of the season was a fun premise executed well, and the Miami act was pretty satisfying (plus, Exasperated General Krantz was good for one or two great lines an episode).

I don't really see much purpose to The Final Break, but I do think that once you get rid of one - admittedly gigantic - misstep, the series as a whole holds up.

I think any season of 24 is the golden age of TV compared to Prison Break.

I wonder if that means it'll be shown in the US at some point. I'll just go ahead and buy it otherwise, but I wouldn't mind just watching it once for free.

I'd recommend Not supporting Fox TV and video Division for basically witholding the final two episodes of the series and then trying to charge a premium for it as a Standalone movie. Fox decides not to air eps of their Series all the time, they did it with Firefly, and they showed up on the DVD set, they did it with Dollhouse and it wil be aired Next season. But with Prison Break they decided to see if they could wring a few more bucks out as a seperate disk and Blu ray. It won't be on the Season set, which comes out first, or aired on TV. I don't approve this practice. Rent it if you have to see it.

Caught the Sky broadcast - actually a step up from the rest of the season IMO. Quite enjoyed it, even!

Uh, it is a standalone movie. It's not like they left us hanging with a cliffhanger at the end of the series - this "Final Break" thing really is just "extra". It doesn't affect the series finale at all, you can ignore it completely and you wouldn't miss anything that was essential to the story.

Besides, it's not like Fox Broadcasting and Fox Home Video have much to do with each other besides common ownership.

I gotta agree that it's kinda sleazy to only sell it in the U.S. and only separately so you have to spend another $15 to get it but then broadcast it in other parts of the world.

So I watched it, and you'll probably want to see it if you're a completionist, but it was just absolutely ridiculous and I was laughing at parts that weren't meant to be funny. I'd rent, not buy.

It is not. Episode 22 was always intended as the season/series finale and 23/24 were always intended as a stand-alone movie. It was not part of Fox' season order.
