Re: 50 Movies All Guys Should See Before They Die

A guy movie list without PREDATOR is not worth mentioning.

So many other good ones mentioned in this thread have been missed as well and few terrible choices.

Um...how can anyone forget THAT?!?

I'm still trying to figure out the rhyme/reason to the random capitalization in Ray's list!

Any list with Gunga Din and Hellboy side-by-side gets a thumbs-up from me!

There's Jessie the yodeling cowgirl. Bullseye, he's Woody's horse. Pete the old prospector. And, Woody, the man himself. Of course, it's time for Woody's RoundUp. He's the very best! He's the rootinest, tootinest cowboy in the wild, wild west!

I just threw together the list randomly. The titles with the capitalisation I've just typed out that way for a really long time. Especially the short or couple word titles. i.e. a really long title wouldn't be "caps locked" but a short title such as ALIEN, TOP GUN and such are capped.
Many titles are camelcaps meaning it's not "Robocop" but RoboCop. Also same thing for GoodFellas.
For some reason Gunga Din feels like a natural prequel to Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Very similar in style and both main villian cults. I can't wait for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
Also, HellBoy: Director's Cut is great. I've been meaning to buy the Blu release eventually. HellBoy II: The Golden Army is another film this year I'm quite eager to see.
So, uh, quite good list I made?

Absolutely, Ray! Quite good!

I can definitely say there are a lot more titles on YOUR list which I've seen than on the original list. And, I think the films on your list will stand the test of time much longer than those on the original list.

Re: 50 Movies All Guys Should See Before They Die

The movies on Ray's list I haven't seen:

Wasabi
X-Men
Pitch Black
Riddick
Enter The Dragon
Brotherhood of the Wolf
Army of Darkness
Hard Boiled
The Killer
A Better Tomorrow
Hellboy
Infernal Affairs

Maybe they really are "guy movies".

The only film on Ray's macho macho guy list I haven't seen is WASABI, which according to the IMDB is Quite Possibly The Greatest French-Language, English-Subtitled, Japanese Action-Comedy Of All Time. Hmmm.
